Mr. M., thanks for the hints on those last 4-5 #s...will pass them on to husband.
The family jungle tom-toms were working well yesterday:
Speaking to Son #1 in the afternoon, I told him about his father's good results due to diet...
A few hours later his uncle - husband's brother - called for more info. on the diet!
Which leads to another question: Can a VERY active exerciser - BIL is mountain biker and spinner -handle this diet, ie., no carbs for that needed quick energy???
Afternoon all.
Bit, thanks for those links...
AND....lysie - Love the photo!:-))
Thanks, Molly.
Dr. Atkins has a chapter about the myth of carb-loading. Though he admits more study is required he states that a study was done in 1994 that found the low-carb trained cyclists performed equally as well as the high carbs.( during hugh intensity training) Also..prolonged, moderate training the results were that the endurance was greatly enhanced with the low carb cyclists. He also states that 2 other studies suggests that increasing dietary fat from 15% to 42% increases maximum oxygen consumption and endurance capacity.
