We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave member of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Reuters is reporting that North Korea warned that if sanctions are imposed against it for its nuclear weapons development program, it will mean war.
The Washington Times is saying the troop buildup is moving along in such a way that a February attack against Iraq could be ordered by the President.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi Government announced it is building two defense rings around Baghdad. The outer ring is composed of regular Iraqi army and Republican Guards. The Iraqis expect that defense line cannot be held, so they have built an inner line, composed of "Special Republican Guards." (This is the first such mention of these units I have come across - wonder if that was because of the miserable showing of the "vaunted" Republican Guards in the 1991 war. Wonder if these "Special" units will do any better.) The Iraqi Government says it is upon this defense line the American army will break.
Stateside - Dick Gebhardt announced he will not run for any more Congressional terms after his time in the 108th Congress is over.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

The problem with art criticism is that historians have tried to turn it into a science. I once watched a group of students stare at and study the stupidist painting in the world for three hours at a museum. Their comments were fun at first. The ridiculous arrived shortly, and stayed the rest of the visit.
God love you for calling it right on Picasso. Great artist early in his career... later on, a great con-artist. You tell me which was the more refined in him.
Somebody posted here a lecture at the Met in NYC on the inanity of modern art. It was a shocker for the establishment, as the speaker was famous in their business. The Emporer, it turns out, had no clothes. I'll see if I can't find a link.

Yes, it is catchy to call him "minority leader." Just heard that the troll has announced he won't seek to become president. Now there's a title I would never get used to. Not catchy at all.

Couldn't leave without clarifying what I meant by
strangers. Strangers = all walks of life. I don't consider all you strangers. In fact, I probably know more about you than some of my cousins. I KNOW I could depend on some of you more.
Go, lysie. OK

Well, I have two situations that I was involved in that would refute your claim of leniency in Fairfax County. Over here in Reston, they are ticketing fools when their quotas haven't been met. there is no leniency, no questions asked, no explanation given consideration. Maybe it should be that way, but it seems to me things do happen that could be considered by the traffic/parking cop.

Why is everyone using a tagline today?

No discussion of the president's killer speech?
I just listened on the radio on my way back home. Except for the extension of unemployment benefits which I am not crazy about (too easy to take advantage of and seems like furthering our ridiculous entitlement system), I think he's definitely got the winning economic stimulus proposal and did a great job of selling on REAL points, not through bogeyman efforts or class warfare.

I wish you didn't live so far away! I would come to your house right now and give you a hug! Do NOT let little insignificant JERKS drive you away from those of us who love you.
You are letting THEM have a victory if you stop "talking" to the rest of us. Tell them to put their OPINIONS "where the sun don't shine!!"
