Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hullo! I am back from viewing five. That was utterly cool, as usual. I think I'm going to swoon if I see Aragorn and Faramir much more...

Hey! I fed some fishes this morning! A really nice lady in our office (receptionist) who has been undergoing chemo has some fishes she's keeping in a small aquarium at her desk. She knew I'd have to come in all weekend, so she recruited me to feed her fishes over the long weekend. (I hope I didn't over-feed them...I heard you can kill fish doing that).
So I had this really odd experience this morning of the calm of dropping a few pellets in the fish bowl and watching the fish react to it, just prior to walking into the room full of attorneys -- that reminded me more of piranas (sp?) at the feed!
To: JenB
LOL...seems like we've had a lot of that going around lately. :)

Good luck! You are a bit like our warriors of the film then... Open war is upon you, whether you would risk it or not!
I agree with Sam... If this does blow up, I will be proud to tell-all that you are a friend! You have my sword!
To: Scott from the Left Coast
Too bad you couldn't just throw a few pellets to the lawyers.

I don't think I'm going to make supper...the boys will eat at the derby.
I'm doing laundry and perusing poodle pics.
To: 2Jedismom
I need to do laundry. Didn't get as much done today as I would have liked....oh well.
To: 2Jedismom
Poodle? Is that a code word? ;)

To: JenB
Yep.... it is from a RoTK calendar... it is the header for my spoiler thread also.
To: HairOfTheDog
Hehehe...had the graphics turned off for two days.....it slows up my browser.
To: Overtaxed
Well, for proper swooning, you would have to upgrade your can and string to a proper bandwidth!
To: HairOfTheDog
Uh...thanks for the advice, I guess....but I'm not in the mood for swooning right now. :)

SQ: you are correct; Cornwell is a prolific author, 17 in the Sharpe series, 4 in the Starbuck Chronicles, 3 in the Warlord Chronicles (Arthurian period) and 2 in the Grail Quest series, which is where The Archer's Tale & the Vagabond fit in the scheme of things. There are also a couple of singles, Gallows Thief and Stonehenge.
To: JenB
Welcome out into the fresh air of freedom Jen! ;^)
