We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Henry Kissinger, appointed recently to head the "9/11 Commission," resigned from that position, citing conflicts of interest.
Mary Matalin, VP Cheney's PR strategist, is leaving the White House to spend more time with her family. The Pravda still couldn't avoid a dig, saying the Vice President had "unusal influence inside the White House." Shouldn't a VP have a high level of influence? Come on!
And the CIA believes fully 1/3 of the pre-war leadership of Al Qa'eda has now been killed or captured.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
When The Coopster was in high school, the church we attended had a very gifted but unorganized choir director. He conceived an original musical with live animals, sets, all choirs from the bell choir (The Coopster) to all children's choirs and all adult choirs. Speaking parts, solos, lighting, and an ORCHESTRA hired from the Indianapolis symphony and surrounding universities. Because the musicians had to be paid, there was time for only one-day's complete rehearsal with all parties.
You should have seen that rehearsal! Sheep pooping in the hall of the high school, children crying because they were scared, soloists flubbing their lines, etc. We had to learn all stage movement as well!
I was really nervous! And yet, when we put the program on, it went off almost flawlessly, we sounded professional, the sheep didn't stampede, and we blessed the entire community with a musical that was both in the spirit of Christmas and a joy to watch.
God blessed our effort, and I am sure he will bless yours as well.
The freezer has been cleaned out in the bi-annual cleaning and defrosting gig. I'm now waiting for the frost in it to melt so I can scrub it down.

A Blessed Christmas season to everyone!
The middle of last week, it became clear that a respite from politics was in order for just a few weeks....
My little foray into MidEast politics was the last straw.....Now I haven't watched Fox News for days or spent much time on the computer FReeping. I do not know if Lott's latest apology was effective. Nor do I care.
Daschle be &^(*%%$! Right now, he's off my radar screen!
Rummy will have to hold his press conferences without me. I'm sure he can manage!
I'm like all those other ostriches out there, my head in the sand! Ignorant as can be, and loving it!
Actually, this post was to see how many clichés I could use....
No...when I return early in the new year, I'll be ready for the war, belligerent conservative that I am.
William arrived in fine shape...John will be home in a week, with a visit from Alison after Christmas, then we're off to see my husband's parents in Indiana.
I am committed to hosting the "Finest" thread one day next week, and look forward to that....
That is all... regularly scheduled programming resumes.....
1) McGahee and Dorsey were going to split a lot of regional votes (especially those idiots who assume that the best player MUST play for the best team). How can you be named the best player in college football if people aren't even sure you're the best on your team?
2) There's been growing criticism of the Heisman that there's a regional bias. That criticism was most succinctly wrapped up in the fact that no one from the west coast had won the Heisman since 1981. Plenty of voters had to be taking that criticism seriously and the easiest way to get rid of it was to vote for the guy from the west coast.
3) Palmer plays for USC, a school that has a lot of Heisman tradition. Not just ANYONE from the west coast could have won this year (though I'd like to see how Jason Gesser would have done, too), but a guy from a school with that much history and playing so well at the end of the year both really helped Palmer.
I probably would have voted for Palmer myself, but couldn't criticize any vote, really. I mainly didn't want Dorsey to win because he's simply not the best quarterback in the group. Yeah, he plays for a great team, but that will be decided in the bowl game. I'm glad for Palmer.
YOU ARE DEAR DEAR PEOPLE!!!
LOL, MM, at least we won't have animals pooping in the hall....
...a few crying kids maybe.....but not pooping animals.....ROTFLOL!
I think the vote would have been quite different if there weren't two from Miami. Not only did they split votes, but a lot of voters may have avoided either one of them because they knew neither of them would probably get enough votes for the win.
..keep our eyes on him....
..and SMILE....
HOW can I do all that if I'm throwing up!!! ?
Not having enemies is the most basic tenet of all religions; wisdom recognizing that our ultimate freedom is that limits to the imagination are set only by you. So if you want to help in the anti-terror effort, simply shift from being knowledge/fear-based to exercising your imagination, which is from where the very concept of our great nation originated -- an idea, a vision, a mode of thinking based upon something so common and abundant as a possibility. I, for one, can see it -- will you join me? Stop the drift (and the draft); it's called: Visualize World Peace. And I mean now, baby!
Today is my buddy's dad's birthday, and his dad is at his house to celebrate it, and watch the game, so I'm going to do a platter. Shrimps, mussels, stuffed tiny little new potatoes, stuffed jalapenos, crab chunks in clarified butter, smoked salmon on crackers. Things like that. ;>) I just love a reason to cook.

See you on the flip side kiddo!
