G'night, Jane! Glad you enjoyed the program with the kids so much tonight. Of course, who but Scrooge himself wouldn't watch something like that and grin the whole evening? It puts a whole different perspective on it when it's your own kids or grandkids, though ....... :-)

I'm just checking in before I go to bed. I am tired, tired, tired. The boys decorated cookies to their little hearts content this evening. You have never seen such cookies with so much stuff on them. They had fun, I had some Christmas music on. The three year old fell asleep at 7:30, literally with his face on the table. I'm off to bed, talk to you all tomorrow.

Black, right?
Thanks, I needed a good, strong cup.
When I set up an office in Sao Paulo, one of my biggest problems was to convince the secretaries that my coffee was to remain pure, unstained by either sugar or cream.
This went over fairly well, only they brought it to me in these horrid, little espresso cups. So I brought down a few good, adult sized American coffee mugs. "This," I declared, "is for coffee. Fill it up."
That concept took months to instill. I'd get a half a teaspoon in my large cup. Finally, I walked them all to the coffee machine and demonstrated a decent cup of coffee.
My secretary in Miami accused me of not drinking my coffee. She found that my cup was always half-full, and cold. This became a large issue, which I never resolved. It was incomprehensible that my coffee mug ought accompany my entire day. My complaint about coffee is that I always had over cigarettes: they went cold after a short while. I needed one to stay lit all day long.
Detente finally reigned, and I got my coffee refill, all the way to the top, regularly. They never ceased to ridicule me, though.

You sound like my hubby. He wants his coffee black and strong ..... and none of this decaf junk. He puts just a few grains of sugar in a full mug.
I don't even drink coffee ..... just never acquired the taste. And never learned how to use a percolator, which is what you used when we got married. So when Mr. Coffee came out, I asked for a coffee maker for my birthday ..... so I could make coffee for my hubby instead of just fixing him instant ...... LOL! Oh, and he gave me the coffee maker ..... one of the best presents I ever got ...... :-)

Don't worry about Lott. This will pass.
If it doesn't, then we must worry. Any politician who can be brought down by a non-scandal such as this deserves to fall.
That is, if Lott, or the party, caves, I take back all my past praise for him. Lott is -- or ought to be -- far larger than this silliness. Congressional leaders are regularly condemned. What we've thrown at Daschle is far more damaging than what Lott's getting over this. Criticism of Daschle has bitten becuse it is true. If Lott gives in, then the criticism is real. If it is not real, then he shouldn't budge.
One wonders if the "Reverand" Jesse Jackson really believes all this. I suspect he does, but only on the surface. The substance of it is opportunity. That opportunity must be denied him.

Yoo hoo! Anybody here?
I felt exhausted when I went to bed last night and it had been a full day, but for some reason I hardly slept. Woke up at 3 or so and got up for a while, then went back to bed and slept lightly until 5. Looks like that's it.

Good morning!
How are the roads, Neets, and how are you feeling?
Christmas program sounded very special, Jane.
I really liked, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, too! Hubby and I went with our kids, and they were slightly embarrassed because I laughed really loud in a couple spots when no one else was laughing. It's the age thing. They're too young to understand some of the humor. I thought the movie was VERY cute!

I am here, don't know how but I am here. Darn computer would not let me in to ATRW this A.M., but then again, the program has been 'snail pace' slow all day yesterday and that usaly spells trouble. Anyone else having problems with it? Ummmm, suppose someone will blame it on the cold weather,
To: LBKQ
Kids, they just don't understand. We watched the Gleen Miller strory (tape version) not long ago and I teared up, they could not understand why, they laughed at me. Sheesh, this younger generation.

Why didn't you warn me what I was getting into?
I was planning on telling you after you were done. Remember..it's for the goats. :-)
