Well, Taco is doing nicely. I have not told him yet that he has to have more surgery....I just hate the idea of having to take him in and just before we are to go to VA for the holiday. But fibrosarcoma is a very aggressive cancer and although the "cyst" margins were clean and no cancer cells were found in 2 lab reports, the protocaol for this is wide margins so it means looking at some muscle and bone tissue. having this between the shoulder blades is a bad spot. If it were the leg, it could be amputated and a cure pretty well guaranteed. But between shoulderblades is is much more tricky. Taco has always been healthy..never sick...never been in a fight...and so because the needle did not get cancer cells we are hoping that no cells escaped althought I have been told that this type of cancer has tentacles llike an octapus so.....if the margins are clean we can hope for a couple more years for him. If not...and of course if the chest xray of lung and bone show cancer then there is nothing to do but keep Taco comfortable for as long as possible.
apart from our anniversary trip to england, this year has been pretty sucky.
OBTW...the folks whose dog chased Yummie out of our yard have a kitten of 7 months missing......poor kitty...if I find it.....maybe I'll just hide it...in my house....nah I'd give it back but not with out a strong lecture on what their dog did.....humph

Amen..we quit sending donations to the Republican party long time ago...it got so annoying to be asked 3 times a week for donations from the national headquareters..seemed to us they were wasting all the money they should have put to defeating the damocraps into writing to the hand that does not have unlimitie funds...we only help the locals here.

Oh dear and around Xmas too!! "Please provide Lord". I got an email from another Californian the other day who said her daughter had just been laid off from a "professional position" and that Job prospects were not good. California sure didn't need ANOTHER term of Gray Davis - he's an absolute disaster for finances of your State. What State has the most robust economy at the moment? Whichever it is you should consider moving there. My own personal opinion is that California has got some tough times ahead.

Oh I hope so, Nully. I can't believe this year has been so bad for my kitty family. First Missie has skin cancer..removed and she is fine...also she was found to have hyperthyoird. then poor Nacho is lost to hypertension and then a dog chased YumYum out of our yard..and now Taco..my vet bills have been horrible. I was going to add them all up but thought better of it. Thanks for the good wishes, Nully.
Oh and everyone..please pray for little redhead Taco..remember when Mo posted the pics of my kitties? Taco is the big long haired red kitty and Nacho was the little one...
To: celtic gal
That's tough CG. I know kitty will be on your mind the whole time you are on your trip. That sucks too because you won't like be able to enjoy your holiday as you should. There has GOT to be something going on in your neighbourhoold with these disappearances!

Yep..it has been a bad year. Our oldest girl, Kristie who is a hydrogeologist in Arizona, was laid off about a month ago. And she had just moved into her new house! Now she is thinking of selling her 2 year old RAV toyota..can get maybe 15 grand and get some little runabout and bank the rest to tide her over until she gets a job. All the geologists in her company were laid off except the ones who still had projects and when those are done those geologists are laid off too. I know..it's Al bore's fault!

With some of the missing kitties the cause is coyotes. In Yummies cases there were none at the time. But lately you can hear them at night....my bet is the little 7month old has been snatched. I heard the coyotes just a few nights ago.

where did you all go? And just when I was going to tell you something kinda cute...well I'll tell you anyway.
As I think I may have mentioned. Missie likes the computer. I have found her meowing at it when it is off, trying to turn it on. Well, yesterday I was called away from somthing I was working on and the screen saver came up. I have the haunted house where the moon goes across the top and the lights go on and off and the door opens and the owl hoots and the cat walks across the front lawn...well Missie likes that one. she was happily watching it. I was looking at something on tv when suddenly I heard the keys on the keyboard being tapped...yep there she was...patting away on the keys. I wish I had had a camera then. by the time I got it she was on to something else...what a hoot she is.

What a couple of little dolls they are. I lost my orange Tabby male, "Dexter" a year ago October. He simply curled up on the top of his cat castle and died. At least he died in his sleep. He looked like he was just curled up asleep until I touched him! I think he had a heart attach because he was very overweight, either that or he had diabetes and I didn't know it! He was real young tho - 15. Still....

Yep. those are " MY Men"...every morning I would go to the garage and call to them..." good morning, Men" "HOw are my little men today?" I know Taco misses Nacho and he is doing well in the house now that YumYum is not back. ( I still look around for him)
thanks for posting my lads for me again, That was a nice suprise, MO.
To: celtic gal
