Oh dear and around Xmas too!! "Please provide Lord". I got an email from another Californian the other day who said her daughter had just been laid off from a "professional position" and that Job prospects were not good. California sure didn't need ANOTHER term of Gray Davis - he's an absolute disaster for finances of your State. What State has the most robust economy at the moment? Whichever it is you should consider moving there. My own personal opinion is that California has got some tough times ahead.

Yep..it has been a bad year. Our oldest girl, Kristie who is a hydrogeologist in Arizona, was laid off about a month ago. And she had just moved into her new house! Now she is thinking of selling her 2 year old RAV toyota..can get maybe 15 grand and get some little runabout and bank the rest to tide her over until she gets a job. All the geologists in her company were laid off except the ones who still had projects and when those are done those geologists are laid off too. I know..it's Al bore's fault!
