3.5?...it was probably in one of the open pits...they can get pretty big...but 3.5 sounds like they might have loaded a "little" on the heavy side. I was under the impression that mine blasts were recorded at beingless than 2M.
Quite a cluster of shakers in California over the past 10-days. Have you felt the earth move...so to speak?

Thanks for the Thanksgiving thoughts Mo...they are appreciated. I miss home every day, but especially on holidays.
Since it isn't a holiday down here, a bunch of us expats are going to get together on Saturday and be thankful and trade thoughts on when we get to go home.
Best wishes to all.

Thanks for the nice thoughts Quilla. Haven't seen your posts much lately...hope you will hang around more in the future.
Cheers from Chile

No turkey? No gathering?
No football?
The romance of being an expat just left me....

Frankles and fartels are vastly overrated.
The cool thing to do now is stop at four....and then wait, fulling knowing you could have done five.
It drives Nully crazy.....

Great card. Here's back at ya sweetie.....you have a great one.
Our turkey will not get a reprieve.
Neither will my stomach....

Good ole Ann...
What will they do about her. I would pay a huge pay per view fee to watch her debate and then wrestle PIAPS afterwords.
My money would be heavily on Anne. Hilly would be running from the first sentence. Even Tim Russert couldn't prevent a massacre.
BTW...Happy Thanksgiving.

It drives Nully crazy.....Had I only known it could have been that easy....

Happy Thanksgiving!!Got to get started. I have a pie to make, and everything else to get ready. Set the table, get the turkey ready, etc. I've already been on the internet to find turkey roasting tips. I didn't know how long to roast it, since it's been years since I've been in charge of the Thanksgiving turkey, and my cookbooks aren't unpacked yet. The Better Homes and Gardens website had what I needed. I love Al Gore's Internet!

"Nully will not appreciate being called easy" Sometimes the truth hurts.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
To: Mo1
Thank you for the article, Mo. It brought back memories.
Basic training was an eye-opener. In my little class were Americans whose ancestors had come from many cultures: Croatian, Japanese, Irish, Chinese, African, English, Polish, French, Mexican, American Indian, German and Scottish. Some had wealthy parents. Some had barely managed to escape the ghetto. There was a farm boy from Iowa and a Yank from Long Island. There were Catholics and Baptists, Presbyterians and Jews. We depended on each other. We laughed with and at each other. We suffered equally.
Our "diversity" would have fulfilled any liberal's misguided sense of the ideal quota. But we were really not diverse at all. We were all only Americans, trying to get by and believing that it mattered.
On this Thanksgiving day I am thankful for those guys and for this great country. And I am thankful for friends like you and all the others here. Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you for your years in the service catpuppy.
I hope my son Grant in Maryland is doing okay -- the Navy serves them up some good eats on Thanksgiving. I'm thankful I still have Gavin here this year - and Garrett and Gabriel.

This is the first year I'm not stuffing the turkey. I always have before and no one ever got a hint of food poisoning, but today I'll just make it separately. It doesn't feel right, though.
