Dick Morris was just on local talk radio. He said Hillary would be the "Richard Nixon of the Left" if elected President. That she is so rightious that she will do anything at all to acomplish her purposes. "Like Mother Therresa hijacking a plane to get to India"

Also said Trent Lott was not a racist and just misspoke. That may be so, but we don't need a fool as Senate Majority Leader.

Republicans get no slack over misstatements on Race. Democrats do.

Democrats get no slack over misstatements on National Security. Republicans do.

It has to do with where the parties are perceived to be weak.

Lott's mouth is not connected to his brain.

We should look at this as a God given opportunity to push him out of the leadership. He has been a rotten leader from the start. Without his gaffe we would have been stuck with him for at least 2 more years.

Yeah, but Al Bore and jesse Jackson are Dems. They get a pass on racist remarks. On the other hand Gore will never be forgiven for opposing war with Iraq. Dems get no slack on National Defense. A Pubbie could oppose it for some reason and would be forgiven.

I think what Trent Lott said was so clueless as to be out of this world. Frankly, after what he did, copping a deal with the dems during the Clinton Impeachemnt, I would not mind in the least seeing someone with more backbone as the Majority Leader. I lost respect for him long time ago. What a mess.

And I don't like bending over to the likes of Jesse Jackson .. it is nothing but race baiting to get Lott to resign .. not as the majority leader but from the Senate
