Actually, we're probably interested in how you settled upon "Billthedrill"! I mean, if it's OK to say: this is a family channel.

Oh, my attorneys won't let me talk about that. Do you believe somebody actually filed a lawsuit on the behalf of a bunch of livestock? Disgraceful, the legal profession these days...

anyone have a fanciful theory that we can invent, err. ooops, I mean report, about how he got the surname "Slim"?

I was in a dingy Mississippi Delta bar last year and I overheard this old black bluesman whispering about a "Howlin' Harp" northerner who got his moniker of "Mudboy Slim" by selling his "vote" to the RATs, in return for incomparable musical ability.

The RAT he sold his "vote" to was named "Slick" and he gave him the Slim handle.

Kinda like the story of some 'ol bluesman whose name I can't recall.

Here on Free Republic, there is a fine line between Republicans posting drunk and Libertarians posting sober. I realized this for *real* when I discovered Mudboy Slim's posts. Was he joking? Would it be less scarey and interesting if he wasn't joking? These are questions that many who encounter his posts are prone to ask.

You obviously never had any encounters with Buckeroo.

LOL, my friend,

And no doubt you wound up in kimchi up to your nostrils, standing on a brick, until the local Volunteer Fire Department could get there, complete with a hose truck. Right?

On a related subject, my next column for UPI is already on the drawing boards. It's on the "great unwashed," the anti-war demonstrators. The title is "Ready! Aim! Sing!." That comes from the last line of Tom Lehrer's song, "The Folk Song Army." I think y'all will enjoy it.

very interesting. your report appears to be, in New York TImes parlance, a credible, well-sourced, first hand report that shall be declared the truth. thank you.

What a great topic for a column!! The Great Unwashed. Or, as I like to refer to the anti-war demonstrators, "Youth Against Soap."

Fascinating. Well, see, here we're doing real journalism and discovering real news. Our subject seems to have a bit of a cashflow problem: many people view him as owing them money. And that's even before we discuss those who, when reading his lyrics, feel that he should owe them money. Oh, man oh man, I'm dead meat when he gets here. Well, he's a prolific poster and he's not on now, so time's a wastin'. Let me continue with the mock biography . . . .

, in New York TImes parlance,

That could mean anything, and everything or nothing at all.

Did I here it right that the mudcave is gonna be FReeper ground zero at least one night at CPAC?

All drinks on the Mudboy, courtesy of chadgore's money?

In preparation for this biography, we did a little research in a vanity thread on Mudboy Slim and learned a few important facts. "His favorite sport is noodlin'. But only after he's imbibed a little Jack..." (I have no idea what this means.) He owes several Freepers $, or so they seem to think, or so they seem to claim. Well, I suppose that's not newsworthy: that's all of us, huh? We are not, like Terry McAuliffe, the "Party of the People" limousine liberals. Shoot, we can't even spell limousine correctly. But enough about us, more about Slim: Muddy's bookmarks say it all. He's a very eclectic guy. His threads and posts range in scope from "Why Santana Should've Stopped With Abraxas" to "WEN HO LEE: VICTIM OR SPY? (Notra Trulock Report)" to "Sleeping With the Enemy - STORM the SENATE - The Whole Kit and Kaboodle" to "Different Voices: The Media in Tibet." He is one of the chief perpetrators/caretakers of the Black Thread, which should be a whole essay unto itself. These threads -- you can see the most recent one here [post URL] -- are [describe]. He is Something about a contest he ran where the prize was a signed copy of an Ann Coulter book.

Why yes, I guess that exciting news has already slipped out. We'll be running buses between CPAC Arlington and Mudboy's house in Richmond, Virginia.

Any DC Freepers have any thoughts/memories they'd like to share? We're writing a highly amusing if mildly inaccurate bio of Mudboy Slim for Freeper's Finest. Any charming stories from the Potty Wars?
