Dick Morris was just on Fox, saying the following:
1. Selecting Mondale was the fatal flaw in the Dem strategy, making him the 'poster child' of the election (I wish he would stop saying that -- they are hanging Mondale out to dry, but all he did was follow orders);
2. Bush took a huge gamble by basically making the midterms a referendum on him. By campaigning so openly with candidates, he possibly could have been associated with the huge loss if it occurred (and, of course, Morris says he would have advised Bush against it, but thought it was brilliant now that it worked out); and
3. This midterm was the most successful for the party in power in history!!!! Bush has made history by orchestrating such a huge success!!!! (Sounds like Morris wants a job...)

Bush took a huge gamble by basically making the midterms a referendum on him. On this, IMO, he is dead wrong. It was the demoflops, in their zeal to avenge 2000, that sought to make it a referendum on the President. In fact, Minority Leader (oh, how it feels so good to say that!!!!!) Daschle - I've got to say it again, MINORITY LEADER Daschle - in the middle of October laid out that he intended to make the election a decision by America on the President's policies.

This midterm was the most successful for the party in power in history!!!! Bush has made history by orchestrating such a huge success!!!! Needs to be repeated...often.
A legacy is being built because it's the last thing on President Bush's mind...unlike you know who.

This is nuts.There are more politically astute people on this thread alone than the Toesucker, and his lame Monday Morning QB analysis is as marginal as are his insights.
It hasn't been easy to be a BushBot around FR,saying wait until the November elections, but when Reagan urged all to "stay the course" during 1982, it wasn't easy to follow that advice either.Go forth, Bushbots, proclaim victory, and smote any heathen libertarian that dares to assume relevancy!!
Gee, I wonder if any of JimRobs detractors will issue some mea culpas ;-)
