this is one of the happiest days of my 30 years in politics!!!!Oh yes!! I SALUTE the President for his courage and faith to go out on the hustings the past few months, campaigning again and again for R candidates!

Was that the strike in Yemen, or the remains of UOx42's legacy?
To: Redleg Duke

Oh yes!! I SALUTE the President for his courage and faith to go out on the hustings the past few months, campaigning again and again for R candidates! It was noted those candidates for whom President Bush stumped often did well.
It was also noted those candidates for whom UOx42 or Algore stumped, did not.
Hey, Tree, are you still considering a run in 2004?

Going to lay down for a while. Think I might be getting stomach flu.

I think Karl Rove is the genius!

8:41 eastern....Howard Fineman on MSNBC just announced that the Clinton Era is DEAD!
To: Chairman_December_19th_Society
That's for sure!!! I was just commenting on a particularly successful state's outcomes.

Hidden in the dust of the major political races was this little fact, being reported by The Washington Times:
All of the ballot initiatives across the country seeking to liberalize marajuana use - FAILED!
Every last one!

I could not be happier that I will not have to look at Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's horse face for the next 8 years! She is going to be the butt of family jokes - I can see it now.
A Kennedy is not supposed to lose elections. Most of all in a state that is so leftist there hasn't been a pubbie governor since the 60s. She's the number two in a two-term Administration. And, yet, she lost.
She'd better be careful at the family bar-b-ques.
Or get into a car with Uncle Ted......
:-)

Dick Morris was just on Fox, saying the following:
1. Selecting Mondale was the fatal flaw in the Dem strategy, making him the 'poster child' of the election (I wish he would stop saying that -- they are hanging Mondale out to dry, but all he did was follow orders);
2. Bush took a huge gamble by basically making the midterms a referendum on him. By campaigning so openly with candidates, he possibly could have been associated with the huge loss if it occurred (and, of course, Morris says he would have advised Bush against it, but thought it was brilliant now that it worked out); and
3. This midterm was the most successful for the party in power in history!!!! Bush has made history by orchestrating such a huge success!!!! (Sounds like Morris wants a job...)
To: ABG(anybody but Gore)
Ouch - you're mean!! LOLOL!!!!!
To: Molly Pitcher
Yup! Clinton Era is dead and tubby Dickie Morris over on Fox blamed it on the dims trying to resurrect Mondull from the dead. BWA-HA-HA!!!
Not holding true here in Arizona though. Dang it...Our governor's race is still too close to call, but the democrat is still slightly ahead.
HOWEVER, the first District congressional race has been declared for the Republican Rick Renzi - his Demo opponent has yet to concede...

Bush took a huge gamble by basically making the midterms a referendum on him. On this, IMO, he is dead wrong. It was the demoflops, in their zeal to avenge 2000, that sought to make it a referendum on the President. In fact, Minority Leader (oh, how it feels so good to say that!!!!!) Daschle - I've got to say it again, MINORITY LEADER Daschle - in the middle of October laid out that he intended to make the election a decision by America on the President's policies.

How much sleep did you get, dittomom?! I hung around, still watching the TV for awhile til about 3 a.m. About the last I heard was Juan Williams warning the Senate Rs to get along with the Dems!! LOL!
