Is Special Ops THAT good at asteroid re-direction?

(It's a good plan; that way we can just blame it on God. God accepted a bit of collateral damage in a few of his campaigns, if his instructions to Joshua are any indication. Not to mention what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah.)

This is a straight-over-the-top view of the good-sized eruption in Ecuador (El Reventador). This is from a satellite, not the Space Station.

Maybe a little, but these aren't major eruptions (despite being pretty neat to see).

The last big eruption, Pinatubo, blew apart a typhoon.

The eruption cloud you see in the image above is NOT the major eruption of Pinatubo. That came later in the day. This is just some "preliminary" activity that day.
