We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
ELECTION DAY!! DO NOT FORGET TO VOTE!!
In 2000, it was decided that Democrats should vote on Wednesday. Not enought took advantage of that offer, so this year, to cut down on lines in polling places, something new will be tried.
Through special arrangement with certain folks in Canada - who, because of the extent of their magnanimity wish to remain nameless - it is now possible to dedicate special polling places just for the use of Democrats.
Democrats, think of this as your own special voting district. Republicans are to vote in the United States - no Republicans whatsover will be allowed to vote in Canada today.
On the other hand, Democrats should take the opportunity to drive north of the border and vote there. No lines - gone will be the complaints of having to wait to vote. No polling monitors - you can vote as many times as you want. You will be able to come home refreshed with the knowledge that you were able to cast thousands, even tens of thousands of votes for your candidate - and no one will so much as hassle you.
So don't delay. The north beckons. If you are a Democrat, hop in your car, drive north, cross the border, and vote. In fact, so good is this program, there are Republicans who will be more than glad - once they have cast their vote in America, because this special offer is not open to them - to drive you and other voting age (in other words, anyone who can recognize a crayon) members of your family (you will have to make your own arrangements to transport dead people) into Canada to your special polling places. (This offer, however, is only one way - you will have to make your own arrangements to return to America).
Democrats - Canada. That's where your vote should be.
[Good only on November 5, 2002. Not good with any other offer, and may not be exercised by Republicans. Offer applies to any definition of family that may be provided by a card carrying Democrat. For further details, see the back of your Rice Krispies box - they might be there. Certain other restrictions apply. No actual guarantee of voting ability is made or warranted. No ballots will be cast on behalf of the Democrat voter by the Republican. If, in fact, you are a Democrat, and you could not actually vote in Canada, complaints will be taken on November 4, 2002. No Canadians were harmed during the preparation of this offer.]
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
And pray.
We do not have a Senate race here in Indiana, but I will proudly be casting my first vote for our new representative, STEVE BUYER. My son and daughter-in-law will be doing their part to remove Julia Carson from the 7th District seat, and hubby has already gone to vote straight Republican! I am hoping that we can recapture the legislature so that our stupid democrat governor will have a check on his tax plans. Daughter is leaving early so that she can vote as well!!
YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE some of these admendments!!!!
I kid you not......this is on our ballot for today!!....only in Floriduh, sigh
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT...ARTICLE X...Section 19
Animal Cruelty Amendment....
..Cruel and Inhumane Confinement of Pigs During Pregnancy
....no person shall confine a pig during pregnancy in a cage, crate or other enclosure, or tether a pregnant pig, on a farm so that the pig is prevented from turning around freely, except for veterinary purposes, and during the prebirthing period;
provides definition, penalties and effective date.
I KID YOU NOT!
Jen & her hubby will be voting at some point today.
All of us straight REPUBLICANS!!!
Happy E - Day. Thank goodness, it's finally arrived.

AMERICAS WAR ON TERROR Day 421
The news as reported in The Washington Times:
[Note All links go to The Washington Times website.]
1. Today is Election Day in America, and there are still many close races.
[Hold the faith and pray. It will turn out all right.]
2. Demoflops in the Peoples Republic of Maryland will be paying workers up to $100 to go door-to-door to remind people to vote. Allegedly, they have told the workers they cannot tell people who to vote for or to push one partys platform over another, because that would be illegal. Meanwhile, Ehrlich, according to last minute polling, leads beyond the margin of error.
[Yeah, right. And right after that the workers where probably told but if you do that on your own, theres little we can do to stop you. The fraud watch is on in Maryland, big time. Pubbies remember Glendennings first election, when four ballot boxes showed up mysteriously from Baltimore city long after all of the other ballots had been couned, and with 100% of those ballots in the four boxes being for Glendenning. Yes, they remember the GOP has hired and placed off-duty police officers in all Baltimore polling places to watch for irregularities of any kind. The watchword needs to be: No Repeat of 1994!]
Democrats to pay for getting out the vote
3. Election 2002 coverage by the Times.
[Good stuff here. Probably one of a few balanced sources that will be out there today.]
Election 2002: News, profiles, finance reports
4. Officials are concerned this election will have many of the qualities of the 2000 election in terms of the length of time it will take to determine winners and losers.
[Ugh. Lets pray for otherwise.]
Voters likely to hurry up and wait
5. The First Lady turned 25 again yesterday, and today is her 25th wedding anniversary to George W.
[CONGRATULATIONS MRS. BUSH!!]
And some birthday girls have all the (bad)
6. The United States killed a senior Al Qaeda individual who was part of the plot to blow up the USS Cole on October 12, 2000.
[Scratch another one off the list.]
U.S. kills al Qaeda terrorist who attacked Cole
7. Prince Georges county, in the Peoples Republic of Maryland, are investigating two non-fatal shootings, that occurred on September 5 and September 15, for connections to the Beltway Sniper.
[This was one heck of a effort by two folks. Glad they are cooling their heels.]
Attacks tied to sniper suspects
We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.

Now you have the info, go support the United States of America!!!
Don't worry. It'll never make it into the Constitution. Somehow the election will get all screwed up, and they'll simply forget about it.
Seriously - the Pig Amendment is positively rediculous.
But, then again, when I lived in Louisiana, I found out the state Constitution required that automobile license plate fees be fixed at $3/year. The Amendment was put in place in the 30s, and at least in 1985 was still there.
The Next Great Divde: Dems cope badly with glabal threats and a global economy article from WSJ....this is fascinating, historical and very worth reading!
That will hurt Landrieu and the RATS far more than the GOP candidate, IMO.
I got up about 4:30 this morning, too restless to sleep. It's a good thing too. I stepped out onto the carport to check the temperature, and realized I had a flat tire. Obviously, some RAT operative is at work in the neighborhood, trying to keep conservatives from voting. Anyhoo, it's 5 in the morning, pouring down rain, and I'm changing the tire with mosquitoes buzzing in my ear. But I still made it to the polls and was second in line when they opened.
Does that make me a "Broken Glass Republican" or what?! 8^)
