We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
ELECTION DAY!! DO NOT FORGET TO VOTE!!
In 2000, it was decided that Democrats should vote on Wednesday. Not enought took advantage of that offer, so this year, to cut down on lines in polling places, something new will be tried.
Through special arrangement with certain folks in Canada - who, because of the extent of their magnanimity wish to remain nameless - it is now possible to dedicate special polling places just for the use of Democrats.
Democrats, think of this as your own special voting district. Republicans are to vote in the United States - no Republicans whatsover will be allowed to vote in Canada today.
On the other hand, Democrats should take the opportunity to drive north of the border and vote there. No lines - gone will be the complaints of having to wait to vote. No polling monitors - you can vote as many times as you want. You will be able to come home refreshed with the knowledge that you were able to cast thousands, even tens of thousands of votes for your candidate - and no one will so much as hassle you.
So don't delay. The north beckons. If you are a Democrat, hop in your car, drive north, cross the border, and vote. In fact, so good is this program, there are Republicans who will be more than glad - once they have cast their vote in America, because this special offer is not open to them - to drive you and other voting age (in other words, anyone who can recognize a crayon) members of your family (you will have to make your own arrangements to transport dead people) into Canada to your special polling places. (This offer, however, is only one way - you will have to make your own arrangements to return to America).
Democrats - Canada. That's where your vote should be.
[Good only on November 5, 2002. Not good with any other offer, and may not be exercised by Republicans. Offer applies to any definition of family that may be provided by a card carrying Democrat. For further details, see the back of your Rice Krispies box - they might be there. Certain other restrictions apply. No actual guarantee of voting ability is made or warranted. No ballots will be cast on behalf of the Democrat voter by the Republican. If, in fact, you are a Democrat, and you could not actually vote in Canada, complaints will be taken on November 4, 2002. No Canadians were harmed during the preparation of this offer.]
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
I'm worried about the fraud in some places. This is going to be a long night...

Delegation of charitable designations - too close to call.
..... She called about something last night and we were talking about the fact that she would be off this evening because of working at the polls. This lady is one-of-a-kind ..... she's 69 years old and one of our spunkiest, most energetic workers ..... is a no-nonsense type with a marvelous sense of humor. Just a pure delight ..... and a dream of an employee!
..... it has surprised me that she's a Dem ..... she just doesn't seem the type. Last night I tip-toed into a political discussion, simply out of curiosity. She told me that the reason she stays registered as a Dem is to keep her precinct job. Then she started talking about the Senate race and couldn't even think of the name of the 'rat candidate.
..... I told her I wasn't about to remind her of the name ...... *grins*
Turns out the precaution on my part wasn't necessary. Apparently she wouldn't touch him with the proverbial 10-foot-pole ...... hehehe! I mentioned something about him being former chief-of-staff to x42 and she made a very snide remark about that.
I think I can safely say that at least one Dem in NC voted for Dole ..... though I wouldn't dare outright ask.
Also .... last night I finally got my call from President Bush. I was beginning to wonder why I hadn't been called yet ....... *grins*
Went to get my hair cut this morning and right as I got there another customer was talking about her call from him.
There was pretty heavy turnout when we voted late this morning. It was just beginning to rain so I don't know what that did to the turnout for the rest of the day.
I'm watching Brit Hume's show, and there is a reporter (Jeff ?) reporting from St. Louis. (Carl Cameron was here all weekend.) He just did a good job of re-capping all the shenagins that went on in St. Louis in election 2000. However, my beef is that he is reporting from "Frontenac, Missouri." This is a very wealthy community in St. Louis county (where Saks Fifth Avenue is located.) The fraud story will not be in Frontenac, Missouri! It will be down in the city precincts----where it happened in 2000. GRRRR!
Now, I need to go back and catch up on what has happened today......

CAUTION: Tony Snow was on the Hannity radio program about a half hour ago (about 2:15pm Pacific) saying VNS is advising the news media to not release any of their numbers, and to not believe them because the numbers are so unreliable. About a third of their precincts were not reporting correctly or at all. Hannity said that means any numbers put out by Drudge are wrong also since they come from VNS. 51 posted on 11/05/2002 6:08 PM EST by Wolfstar
Hugh Hewitt is reporting a Committee in the House told VNS ...if they screwed up this election...they would get hauled before Congress faster than Rosie O'Donnell can eat 3 Big Mac's...:-)
