Posted on 09/30/2002 6:25:03 AM PDT by BigWaveBetty

Rep. Mike Thompson, D-California, left, and Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington, in Baghdad.
Former congressman David Bonior
"I think the president would mislead the American people." ~~ Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington
McDermott said these words while standing on Iraqi soil.
Contact these worthless scum and let them know what the majority of Americans think of their trip to Iraq.
McDermott's website
Thompson's website
Bonior
59 N. Walnut, Suite 305, Mt. Clemens, MI 48043-5677
(586) 469-3232 (not knowing if the email addy still works for Bonior, I called this number.
They still answer, "Congressman Bonior's office", I left a message.)
In case you're wondering where you've heard the name McDermott before, remember back to 1996.
Mr. McDermott on his way to Christmas shopping for his grandchildren, he and his wife just happened to intercept a phone conversation between Congressman John Boehner (R-Ohio) and House Speaker Newt Gingrich and others and then leaked the tape to the New York Times and other media.

According to our man on the road Mike Evans this morning - the philandering foursome did some serious womanizing last evening - when called on it, K.Spacey said, "What's the problem? We're all single."
Sounds about right to me.

I am worthless today! Why did I think Bonior was a former congressman? Haven't heard anything from him in so long I thought surely he must be gone.
Super! Two mistakes in one post, think I'll go hide for the rest of the day.

I called McDermott's Seattle office and told them that I considered him a traitor for saying that President Bush would lie to us about war. I told them that his saying those things on foreign soil made it double traitorous.

You big sweetie. :-)
Just so I can sleep tonight, I have to counter that horrible pic of Babs and toon with our wonderful President and First Lady.

All pictures used in this counter punch to pictures of ugly evil available on HLL's profile page. Thanks HLL!

I got home late Friday night, well after midnight. I found miniT and her other 2 kids here. While I was on my way home from California, she and Mr. Teacup were at the local courts getting a restraining order. Apparently the $5000.00 lawyer we hired never did anything to include, never filing the crazy custody order, so that crazy custody order was never valid.
Anyway, right now all we know is the creep is lurking around this area with his girlfriend and his gun. I was afraid to return home, but I did not find him here.
Thank God for my gun and my gun rights. I'm armed and fully loaded and I love to fired my gun, LOL. I'm pretty good too!
Anyway, my mother is at home now with Hospice care. I'm sad about losing my dear friend Angelique. Please pray for me.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Barbra Streisand fattened the Democrats' war chest for their effort to take back control of Congress, headlining a Hollywood gala that raised some $6 million.
The diva emerged from semiretirement to deliver a nine-song set Sunday night on the stage of the Kodak Theatre, the new home of the Oscars. Celebrities such as Christian Slater and Julia Louis-Dreyfus rubbed shoulders with top House Democrats including Minority Leader Dick Gephardt and California's Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the minority whip.
Streisand's show set a fund-raising record for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said spokeswoman Jenny Backus. A longtime liberal and Hollywood's queen Friend of Bill during the Clinton years, Streisand created a stir last week when she sent Gephardt a forceful letter urging him to stand up to President Bush on Iraq and chiding, "It is time for the Democrats to get off the defensive and go on the offensive."
Gephardt joked about the letter in a speech after Streisand's performance. "Some of the Republicans thought that was cute," he said. [No, Poco Dicko, we thought it was illiterate.] "Well, what I want to say to my friends in the Republican Party is, eat your heart out. I get faxes from Barbra Streisand, they get faxes from Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robertson."
Streisand did not explicitly discuss the Democrats' position on Iraq, nor did Gephardt. The singer prefaced a rendition of "God Bless America" with the remark that it was, "a prayer for our Democratic leaders to continue to have the strength and courage to stand up for what is right." [Has that happened any time since WWII?]
Draped in a sweeping, metallic green gown, she also performed her hit "The Way We Were," with altered lyrics to convey that she missed a Democratic Congress and administration. Democrats have a one-seat Senate edge, but the GOP holds the House by a narrow margin. "Scattered pictures of the House we left behind," she sang. "Lovely Democratic memories, of the way we were." [Ooof, gag, ack]
Two years ago, Streisand said an official goodbye to live performing with "farewell" concerts in New York and Los Angeles, but she apparently couldn't pass up the chance to raise money for the Democrats. The concert was dubbed the National Democratic Gala and billed as the Democrats' "marquee fund-raiser." Democrats need to gain six seats, plus hold onto the House's three vacant seats, all in traditionally Democratic districts, if they are to reclaim a majority in the 435-member House of Representatives in November.
Some 3,500 guests paid $500 and up for tickets. Performing alongside Streisand were Barry Manilow, comedian Steve Harvey and the singing group Three Mo' Tenors.

I am LIVID. LIVID I TELL YOU!!!
Fox News is hyping a story on O'Reilly tonight about an 11 year old girl who just gave birth to a baby from her 75 year old LOVER!! Honest to gosh, they said LOVER!! Wouldn't that be her RAPIST! ARRGGHHHHHHH!
To: Teacup
Good grief, T, I'm so sorry. Just make sure the applicable law enforcement agency in your area has received a copy of the restraining order, and don't be shy about talking to the chief and explaining the situation.

Why does that cartoon remind me of a typical conversation at LP?
To: mountaineer
Oh man, Mountaineer, your Dad was so young! In a way we've been blessed that Mama hasn't had to suffer with it for a very long time. She was diagnosed in the Fall of '97, at the age of 79, so that's only been 5 years. My sister in law's mother was diagnosed about 15 yrs. ago, and for the last 5 was totally incapable; she died earlier this year. In fact, I was suggesting to my sister that, when the time comes, they think about an autopsy to determine whether or not Mama truly had Alzheimer's or just a different form of dementia. According to my sisters, who attended Alz. support group meetings, Mama did not fit the typical pattern of someone suffering from the disease. I guess we'll see.

McDermott said these words while standing on Iraqi soil.Hmmm. I seem to recall something about 'giving aid and comfort to the enemy' being a traitorous act. I think that's what Jim McD was doing in Baghdad!

Sean and Trent Lott agree with you - and I mean in those exact words. Trent even mentioned Hanoi Jane - and I expect as much to happen to the 'rat bastards as happened to her.
This country needs a public hanging - it's that serious with some of those commie puds.

Washington, D.C. - Senator Bill Frist, (R-TN), Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), made the following statement today following Senator Robert Torricelli's (D-NJ) announcement:
The law in New Jersey is very clear: an individual may not pull his or her name from the ballot less than 51 days from the election. The National Republican Senatorial Committee will participate in any challenge to the effort by the Democratic Party to replace Senator Robert Torricelli on the general election ballot. If there were to be exceptions to the law, it is highly unlikely that fear of losing an election would be one of them.
