The Guild 9-30-2002 Traitors to America

Posted on 09/30/2002 6:25:03 AM PDT by BigWaveBetty

Rep. Mike Thompson, D-California, left, and Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington, in Baghdad.

Former congressman David Bonior

"I think the president would mislead the American people." ~~ Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington

McDermott said these words while standing on Iraqi soil.

Contact these worthless scum and let them know what the majority of Americans think of their trip to Iraq.

McDermott's website
Thompson's website
Bonior
59 N. Walnut, Suite 305, Mt. Clemens, MI 48043-5677
(586) 469-3232 (not knowing if the email addy still works for Bonior, I called this number.
They still answer, "Congressman Bonior's office", I left a message.)

In case you're wondering where you've heard the name McDermott before, remember back to 1996.

Mr. McDermott on his way to Christmas shopping for his grandchildren, he and his wife just happened to intercept a phone conversation between Congressman John Boehner (R-Ohio) and House Speaker Newt Gingrich and others and then leaked the tape to the New York Times and other media.

Teacup, you're in my thoughts and prayers often.

BWB, I had to turn FOX and Friends off this morning after I saw the traitor McDermott make his crack at the President. My poor teen son thinks I'm a lunatic, the way I scream at the TV, then talk to myself afterward. In a way though, I'm glad he's getting to witness these kinds of ignorant remarks such as McDermott's, he'll be registering to vote in four years. He likes to tease me that he'll register Democrat. (he's quite the kidder)

They also mentioned this morning that Babs E-mail to Gephardt about the fundraiser was filled with spelling errors, they joked that she needed to return to grade school-ha!

The requirement was really ugly AND really stupid.

While watching CNN Sunday with Wolfie Blizted McDermott and Thompson spewed their propaganda.

Funny, while McDermott spewed everything was fine. When Thompson admitted that if the Iraqi's don't allow truly unconditional inspections, suddenly the screen went black.

Hmmmmmmmm.

Good Morning! Great news about the daily thread designation. Does this mean we will need to post a new thread each day?

Actually, BWB, McDermott did NOT overhear the conversation or tape it, BUT, he did TAKE THE TAPE when he was given it by the couple who did the taping, and present it to whomever made it public (the press?) HE'S slime and his contituents are in central Seattle, an area where he gets 75% of the vote. Many of Washington State are ashamed of him. HE IS A TRAITOR!

Hehehe! Let him know he's not alone in the lunatic mom department. :-)

We had a funny this weekend. A friend stayed over with my son this weekend. As they downed the pancake breakfast I made for them my hubby told us of a story in our local paper. A 13 year old boy was beaten to death by a 15 year old at a local skateboard park. After a few comments on how horrible it was our young guest quipped, "If he wants to get out of trouble what he needs to do is blame President Bush for making him violent." "This will get the Democrats behind him and he'll get off scot free!"

Knowing my hubby hates talking about politics, I just smiled knowingly at him.

So much for a balanced perspective.

What Larry,Moe and Curly don't realize is they're being used for propaganda purposes in Iraq and with those that align themselves against the US. They are evil in their attempts to wreck havoc for our President.

I would ask Mr McDermott one question, do you honestly believe that Hussein does not have weapons of mass destruction, and are you willing to move your entire family, including your grandchildren to Israel? I'll bet I know the answer already.

Does this mean we will need to post a new thread each day?

I dunno! We'll have to ask the expert.

Hey expert aka HLL, what say you?

If we do I'm going to need some help!

Must run for now and get busy around here. I spent much of the weekend floating in the pool. The weather was absolutely gorgeous here over the weekend. For a change! :-)

Hi. BWB!

From what I've read on the thread, I think I'm glad I'm at work and don't have my TV on. I think I would be throwing something at the screen by now.

I am outraged beyond belief at McDermott. I have been calling his DC office all morning, but no answer. If you do call, tell them that you are from his district and they will respond. I am supplying you with all his phone numbers and zip codes in his district. I do recommend placing a call to this traitorous scumbag.

If you would like to see how liberal this piece of poop is, please go to Vote-Smart. Clink on CANDIDATES AND ISSUES and put in his name or any one else's name. He filled out his NPAT, which tells his views on issues. He is a liberal scum. Oh I am just so mad.

That's right. The Martins....

who just happened to be on their county Democratic committee,
and who had just been to D. C. for a Dim pow wow,
and they were driving 3 hours to shop for Christmas presents for the grandkiddies,
and they just happened to have a sophisiticated taping device on the front seat between them,
AND they just happened to pick up a stray phone conversation,
AND it just happened to be the GOP leaders talking on their cell phones.

A convergence of coincidences.

A daily designation is just an easy way to find the thread - it's up to the thread-runners to decide when it's time for a new header.

Migas for breakfast.

I am so sorry about your Mom....How special that you were able to see her again and say goodbye to her.

I, too, have been travelling. Went from the West Coast to the East Coast for family illness. We may have passed each other in the air...

My flights were all full and uncomfortable but uneventful except my purse got searched the very last segment of my return flight home.

The screener announced that the x-ray machine had detected a sharp object and that I was to step back and keep my hands to my sides while they examined my purse. I opened my mouth to say, I might have left a file in my make-up bag, and he immediately advised me not to speak again until they were complete with the examination. Well, folks, my purse when I travel is a virtual tote bag filled with souvenirs, gum wrappers, chewed gum wrapped in said wrappers, candy wrappers, dirty Kleenex-you get the drift. And it being the last leg of my trip-well it was jam packed. But I did as I was told and yep, it was a file in my make-up bag. He let me keep the file which I thought was inefficient of them.

I will pray that your Mom has a peaceful passing...as I am praying that my brother does also. He is at the end of a long battle with colon cancer.

Prayers for all of you who have a loved one near the end of his or her life, that they may have a gentle homegoing. Suzi, it will be nine years this Thanksgiving that my father died of complications of Alzheimers. He was only 69, and the last six months were such agony that his death was to some small extent a blessing, painful though it was for the rest of us.

Now, on a more humorous note, here's a thread from yesterday about the darling Chelsea's plans for law school.

Tales from x42's big African adventure, from Cindy Adams, NY Post:

IN Capetown, the Odd Trio - B. Clinton, K. Spacey, C. Tucker - overnighted at Cape Grace, which was rated best hotel in the world in 2000. Bill's dining habits are known. The chef sent up a nouvelle fast-foods larder. The evening's festivities were: Bill drank with chums in the Bascule Bar with its largest collection of single malt whiskeys south of the equator, Chris chatted up guests in the lobby, Kevin went out on the town.

Former South African President Nelson Mandela laughs with former President Bill Clinton at an event to raise AIDS awareness at Orange Farm, about 60 kilometers south of Johannesburg, Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002. Clinton has traveled to Ghana, Rwanda, Nigeria, Mozambique and South Africa to promote efforts to fight AIDS and encourage economic development.

*sigh* You just don't hear enough about or from Monica Lewinsky these days.

Once again, her mouth was quicker than her mind. When we recently caught up with Monica Lewinsky at a Laura Belle party, we asked the infamous intern what new films she fancied. She quickly responded, "'Secretary' was great! I loved it!"

The movie, which opened a week ago, depicts kinky office antics between an administrative assistant and her boss. But it took a second for the hefty handbag designer to catch the irony of her choice. Covering her face in horror, Lewinsky exclaimed, "Did I dare say that? Oh God!"

Would she share her favorite part of the movie? "No, no more questions," she told us, shaking her head and hands furiously. Then she turned away. NY Daily News.
