Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The UN is likely to grant Iraq a full year under an "inspection" regime before it is willing to say Iraq is "non compliant" and seek other courses of action.

British newspapers are concerned the UN will become irrelevent if the US acts unilaterally.

The Sun reports former PM Major as saying the United States would respond to an Iraqi use of WMDs by conducting an above-ground nuclear test in the Baghdad area.

And President Bush is sending to Congress a resolution that will authorize him to act soon with military force, notwithstanding the UN concerns, in the event Saddam does not quickly relinquish his WMDs.

Just thought I'd use this moment to give thanks......often in need of prayers for my family I remind myself that I ought to be giving thanks for some answered prayers and especially giving thanks for all the wonderful freepers who seem to never ever be too busy to offer up a prayer for a stranger.

I have another story....

Talking about 9/11 with a dear older friend, she told me she kept wondering about what happened on flight 93....and worried that those men who led the counter-attack didn't take a vote on their actions with the rest of the passengers!

I love her, but sadly learned awhile back that her ability to think clearly and deeply on serious matters was impaired. It's so distressing to see this in an otherwise intelligent person, and someone who in so many ways I respect and hold as a model.

Did you have a good visit with your parents, how is your father,

Yes. My father is doing well, thought he does move a bit slowly and with the help of a cane. No pain, however, which is good. He tries to do more than he should nowadays, still thinking he is young. On the one hand that is good, but I would like him to be careful - so would mom.

There will be a travel update later.
