Good morning! I should be getting ready for work, but have to stop in and say hi.

Yesterday after work I scouted out 3 different Civil War sites in Franklin, TN. This Friday I'm taking my writing students there for a few hours of fun (and writing). Should be fun and educational.

And here I thought I might win the coveted title!! I should have known!

Good morning!

Report on "Seusical the Musical" starring Kathy Rigby (the Olympic gymnast) which I attended last night:

Kathy Rigby is very talented! She can belt out a Broadway style song fantastically, and she was very good at doing comic accents and improvising with the audience. She played The Cat in the Hat.

This musical is sort of an amalgam of the two Horton books (Horton Hatches the Egg and Horton Hears a Who.) Lines from other books were incorporated throughout the play. The only problem with the play was that for young children it was confusing, because the players weren't costumed identifiably...Horton the elephant was simply a largish young man with a cap with flaps, for example. I had to keep explaining to my granddaughter (who thought they were going to see a giant cartoon) that he was PRETENDING to be an elephant. LOL!

Kathy Rigby had lots of aerial flying as well as several dance numbers as well.

One off-putting thing was a bit of anti-war stuff in the middle of the program, which seemed a bit jarring given the current times, but no one but me seemed to notice it so I didn't comment.

Lots of fun, though!

Oh, and this comment from my sister, the nurse:The UN is just like Jesse Jackson. All they do is talk and go around the world causing trouble.

Good Morning All!

Here are a couple of links to some Satellite imagery of Iraq and some of their suspected weapons sites. These are all in the public domain and unclassified, which makes me wonder just what the h*ll IML dasshole keeps whining about with his "We still have unaswered questions about the potential threat...":

Iraqi Facilities

One of the Sand Flea's Palace Sites

To me, the only real "unanswered" question is - when, if ever, is little tommy gonna pull his head out of his a$$??

AND GOOD A.M. TO ALL FROM THE 'WHERES THE STORM GONG' MS GULF COAST, USA!!!!

Chair, thanks for the map, we are in storm watch mode here on the coast, watching every movement of the stor, and even the way the forcaster takes her hand and projects the route.
Going to cash some checks today, gas up the cars, call a few frends up in central Ms to see ir we can come if need be. we take it serious, Camelle is still on our minds.

little tommy d. is having a change of heart? Proves one thing, he can read numbers, 70% and its over and over and over, sometimes with a slight dip but 70% and speaking of dimwitts, a clinton ultra dimwitt lost another election, ummmm, think they will get the message? I say hop on board Billyboy, help your friends out, go and speak often for your partners in crime.

I have a thought for you today---bar-b-que grits.

Prayers for all with special needs, for all to stay safe from injuries and to stay well from illness. Freepers, please keep OUR President W on top of your prayer list, this man really is taxed to the enth degree. He has the entire world fighting him (we know who the home politicans are who fight him) and the 'top' can get lonely fast. Not asking for much just a prayer every once in a while on his behalf. Prayers for the elderly, we are seeing history being repeated and know the USA will come out on top---again.

Think they failed on Iraq? look at what they failed to do in Africa, sent troops in with unloaded weapon and instructions not to do one thing to stop the killing. They asr as useless as a leaky outhouse.

Good morning Chairman, everyone.

Good luck with that crash project, Chairman.

Lots of breaking news, this a.m., it sounds like...

Here's one from last night which is interesting:

Jane, thanks for that report on the musical. Sounds like a very energetic production!

Mr. M, you are the most excellent teacher....assigning WT articles to your students, and taking them to Civil War sites. Hope you're feeling better today.

Here's an opinion piece which is very hard hitting:

"They Should be Slaughtered" from frontpagemagazine.com.....

W.'s Tennessee Visit: More on Iraq threat

Good Morning, Mr. Chairman! Good Morning, All!

Last weekend, we kennelled the pup and drove down to the New York City area. I had a business meeting Monday morning and as it was also Jack's 10th birthday, I wanted to spend time with him. Saturday and Sunday we drove pass Ground Zero. Talk about emotions. Sunday morning we took the ferry out to Ellis Island from Battery Park. Coming back, I was staring at the skyline with the gaping hole and feeling my hackles rise as I heard Arabic chatter and laughter. I looked at another American guy who was staring at the skyline with a grim look and asked him, "I wonder if the Arabs will feel the same way we do right now when they look at Bagdad glowing in the dark?" He just smiled grimly and nodded.

I felt the same way having those Middle Easterners on that ferry, visiting Ellis Island as my late Dad did on the ferry to the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor as he listened to the Japanese Tourists chattering and laughing.

The World will never be the same, and it is a damned good thing!
