(09-16) 13:47 PDT SAN DIEGO (AP) -- A jury decided Monday that David Westerfield should die for killing 7-year-old neighbor Danielle van Dam, the little girl who vanished from her bedroom in the first of a string of high-profile child abductions across the country this year.
Westerfield, a 50-year-old engineer, had faced either execution or life in prison without parole for killing Danielle in February. He was also convicted of possessing child pornography.
Superior Court Judge William Mudd can impose the death penalty only if the jury unanimously recommends it. He also has the option of reducing the sentence to life without parole.

Poor little girl Danielle...........her death has been avenged.
May Westerfield rot in hell.

FRY, BABY, FRY!!!

This in unfortunate. Not only is this evil freak not going to get his much deserved "prison justice," but the taxpayers are going to have to support him for at least a decade through countless costly appeals. Don't misunderstand, I'm all for the death penalty; I just don't like the way it's administered.
Take the sonovab/tch out to the back of the courthouse and hang him......with a short rope.

Great verdict! The jury can rest assured that they did the right thing.
This sends a loud and clear message to all pedophiles: Keep your filthy hands off our children, or you will pay the ultimate price!

Was it worth it, freak? Was it worth it?

But...but...there an obscure possibility that the police could have tampered with the evidence because it was marked with a blue pen and the police are known to use black pens.
Conclusion: he is innocent.
