British Prime Minister Tony Blair's promised dossier on Iraq is to reveal that Saddam Hussein trained some of Osama bin Laden's key lieutenants, The Sunday Telegraph reported.

The dossier is also expected to disclose that the Iraqi leader has reconstructed three plants to manufacture biological and chemical weapons, it said.

Blair, facing opposition from within his own Labour Party over going to war with Iraq without U.N. backing, has recalled parliament to discuss the issue later this month and promised to publish a dossier detailing evidence against Saddam Hussein.

The Sunday Telegraph said a draft version of the dossier contains detailed information on how two alleged leading al Qaeda members, Abu Zubair and Rafid Fatah, underwent training in Iraq and are still linked to the Baghdad government.

It said Abu Zubair was an Iraqi intelligence officer trained in using terror against the Kurds in Northern Iraq. Rafid Fatah also worked with him against the Kurds, the paper added.

They were then said to have joined ranks with Osama bin Laden, accused by Washington of being the mastermind behind last year's September 11 hijack attacks.

On reports that Saddam Hussein has reconstructed three weapons plants, the paper said evidence was based on "worrying activity" captured by American satellite photographs.

One security official, quoted by the Sunday Telegraph, said the photos "clearly show very worrying activity of rebuilding work at these plants which we already knew were being used for developing chemical and biological weapons. That is what Saddam is doing again."

Amazing. UN Sec'y General Kofi Annan has solved the Iraqi crisis! Yes, that's right, he did it.

He has a letter from Iraq saying they will accept inspectors without conditions.....now they just have to get together with the UN to "discuss practical arrangements".

Guys - please remember, the President said nothing at all about any inspectors - nothing. It was noticeably absent from his UN speech. He's not going to put up with any of saddam's or the UN's goofy bs.

I am nearly in tears. I spent the entire afternoon trying to get a critically important letter written using the new WindowsXP Word program.

I am willing to admit that I knew very little about Word going in to this project. Altho it exsisted on my old computer, I didn't use it. I have always used Works as my WP.

My oldest son came into the house for a sandwich and he was finally able to get it to do the deed.

I cannot remember the time when I hand one measly letter to show for an afternoon's work.

Can someone give me a recommendation on a good tutorial?

I hope you're right, JL. This is little more than windowdressing, and everyone knows it. Saddam's not going to let any inspector see what he's really up to. The so-called inspections will be no more than going through the motions. The question is how much of this farce Bush will put up with before doing what he has to do.

Using Win2000, and not yet loading Office, I go to,Programs, then Accessories, then then Word Pad and bang away. It's like using an early version of Word without all the OfficeAssistants, the "did you mean this or that," the suggested spellings and all the crap that I hated.

Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Word Pad. I hope they left in XP. Let us know how it goes.

I have boocoodles of faith in President Bush, VP cheney and Secretary Rumsfeld. (Powell hasn't made my list yet). I have no doubt they saw this coming and knew in advance what their response would be. It's just that this slows down the whole process and I hate it when Saddam gets ANYTHING.

The White House released a written statement that called the offer "a tactical step by Iraq in hopes of avoiding strong U.N. Security Council action."

"As such, it is a tactic that will fail," spokesman Scott McClellan said in the statement.

I have seen the Swan Lake by Nurayev, and it's fabulous.

Have you ever seen Nurayev dance in it? I saw him perform Swan Lake when I was about 12. He was amazing! With each grand jeté it seemed like he just floated in the air for minutes on end.

Actually, I think the Pres and Rummy & Cheney and Rice and Powell knew this would be Iraq's response. Bush said nothing about setting the standard as low as allowing in the weapons inspectors.

Bush is demanding a resolution holding Iraq accountable for ALL the issues he signed on to at the end of the Gulf War. Irag's "appearance" of going along with inspectors now, simply buys us time to get our troops into the region. I heard yesterday there are 4000 troops leaving for Kuwait this week.
