My father became hyperalergic to insect stingsin the mid 60's. He got stung by a red wasp when he got out of the car in a hospital parking lot. He started to sag and by the time we had crossed the parking lot he was going into anaphylactic shock. The ER Doctor said he would have been dead if he had been any further from emergency care,

They are still checking references. They will make an offer Friday (the 13th)...

Have you been writing your own references again?
Does that make you self referential?
If so are you not then a Meta Nully?

The signs that read "Fund welfare, not bombs" and "1,500 immigrants disappeared in the U.S." served as a foil to other public functions in Seattle yesterday, most of which featured overtly patriotic themes.

"We felt it's important to counter the messages of patriotism...

That is really sad....

Both are 17 years old and they stood on the outer edge of the crowd holding a U.S. flag and absorbing the verbal barbs from the anti-war demonstrators.

Olsen held a sign that said "Conquer or Die."

"We don't want to give into the radical left," Zieger said. "If any time war is justified, it's now. You got to take out Saddam."

That is really cool... there is still hope! (they were probably home schoolers).

"Then they had a Letterman ad for the disgraced moron"

From the time I got to the hotel early in the afternoon until bedtime I watched Fox and the history channel and later I was just flipping channels. I don't watch Letterman, but I happened to flip there just as the ex-predator-in-chief walked on with that disgusting, self-important grin. After being moved to tears many times throughout the day, that was the last face I wanted to see. I also noticed that I have the same basic, gut reaction to him as to bin Laden. After a day of all those images of the trade center, the pentagon, the field in Pennsylvania, President and Mrs. Bush reaching out to Americans who had lost so much, the victims themselves and their families, flowers, doves and eagles and then Bellzebubba Clinton; it was like, "which of these things does not fit?" I have truly never seen anybody so puffed up with self-importance as those two.

It's sad that an American newspaper would use such a term as "overtly patriotic."

But Valerie....

We must not hurt people's feelings.

Unless they are evil conservatives...or better yet evil right wing, Christian homophobes!

I got into trouble on another thread yesterday for hurting someone's feelings when I said his worry was stupid. What was his worry?
"I worry that we will become like our enemy."

Hmmmm... no news orginization would give him air time on 9/11, so he resorted to letterman.

"I hear it was a last minute booking

I HATE CLINTON!!"

Only he would have the arrogance to even try and upstage 9/11.

The good news is that Bubba is probably frothing at the mouth at Bush's last few days of total success.

Bubba and Carter's demand that W make the case (along with Tiny timmy and Tommy and their ilk) has so backfired on them it's laughable.

So all Bubba can do is go on Letterman and make a fool of himself while W rallies the nation, humiliates the UN, galvanizes world opinion, and continues the march to Baghdad.

I think they're gonna lock the man up in a padded cell soon. His closest associates are all losing their bids to become elected officials, his plans to foil W are turning to sh*t, he can't gain any traction on his "legacy", McAwful is ruining the DNC, and only a limited amount of people (ugly ones at that) are willing to s*ck his...er....carry his water.

Priceless stuff.
