The military deployed anti-aircraft missile batteries around the National capital yesterday for a four-day defensive exercise. The exercise is designed to test the integration of F-16 combat air patrol and ground level portable missile defense.

President Bush has stated it is not the job of the United States to determine who rules in a post-Saddam Iraq.

Last night I was at my sister's place and we got to talking about where we were and what we were doing when we got the news on September 11. I've been able to give the anniversary almost a complete miss since we have TV, but of course I haven't forgotten that I got the news from ATRW, from your computer to mine. I should go back and read that thread some time.

Fox and Friends this morning said that there is an investigation going on to see if Scott Ritter is an enemy agent. (Disclaimer: I did not hear this myself, but this was reported on another thread.)

Peggy Noonan on now. Says the reading of historical documents for 9/11 is good, because many people haven't ever heard them. or if they did, it was so long ago that they have forgotten their content. She also said that no speech can adequately cover the range of emotions for the survivors.

I'm outta here. That commute gets longer every morning, I swear. But last night I checked out a book-on-tape, Babe Ruth, that is 12.5 hours long. That should give me something to listen to for at least 5 days. And when I'm finished, I'll be an encyclopedia of knowledge about the Bambino.

I remember I was supossed to take the train into the city that day..I had literally just gotten out of the shower when the first plane hit...and it was down hill from there...and then the next day, sitting in traffic for 7 hours trying to get on post for work.

S-i-l got my new front door up yesterday afternoon, it sure looks great and I sure needed one. That boy does it all for me and I sure am glad he is there for me to do the things I can't anymore.

Its a slow day for me today, might run up to the farm and do a little George W, clean out some brush. I really enjoy it there, quit, peaceful, remote, just the smell of that country air is good for the soul.

Off to get that cup # 3 then take gd to school, she is so cute, sitting in my car helping me drive and how, yesterday she did not miss a sign, speed limit, stop, she even asked me 'PawPaw, how fast are you going', that kid, that kid.

Folks, please, take the time to say some prayers for OUR President W as this man has some heavy stuff on his mind. He has the forces of evil (add a d as see that you get) and he needs the help of good (remove one o and see what you get). No man can do it alone so its important that we be with him. Prayers for you to stay safe and free from illnesses and for out elderly, strong to the end. Have a good day.
