Lots of police near the mall as I came home. I will be calling my daughter later and seeing if she would like to come down here to stay the night, since I think she is safer here than in the inner city near the school, which is where her apartment is. She is also fairly close to Lilly Pharmaceuticals.
They are choosing NOT to make a media circus of Martha Stewart but rather just referring it to DOJ. Her inconsistencies and refusal to explain them. She refused to come in for an interview, even if they arrranged it so that the press could be avoided. They were in negotiations until 2:00PM today with her attorneys. Her attorneys informed them that she would be advised to plead the fifth if she appeared.
Those are valid expressions....apppropriate and fitting for the particular circumstances!
