AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 597) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 9, 2002 | All of Us

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

On Thursday, al-Jazeera will broadcast an interview with two of The Evil One's top aides - men with a $25 million price tag on their heads from Washington. Among other things, the BBC report on the matter says, the broadcast will state Congress, not the White House, was the target of the fourth plane - the one downed in Pennsylvania by the heroic passenger revolt led by Todd Beamer.

President Bush will address the United Nations on Thursday regarding Iraq. PM Blair of Great Britain has said Iraq has one last chance to readmit weapons inspectors. The PM went on to say the UK will fight alongside the United States in an assualt on Iraq, even if no other Nation supports the venture.

Canada has announced they will not support a United States pre-emptive strike on Iraq as a coup de main.

Around the clock combat air patrols have resumed over New York City and Washington, DC. Meanwhile, US intelligence organizations have picked up increased "chatter" among known Al Qa'eda operatives.

Elsewhere, the mid-Atlantic states of North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland should begin preparations for a visit by Tropical Storm Gustav.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Can you believe Ritter? I think he should change his home address to 1515 Duba Duda Ave, Bad-Dad.

I guess what bothers me about inspections is they are a crutch for the appeasers and doves.

Consider carefully.

The appeasers say we should not conduct a coup de main in Iraq as there is no proof that Saddam is actually building weapons of mass destructions.

In lieu of a descent, they offer we should insist Baghdad readmit inspectors with the condition they be allowed to inspect anything, anywhere, at any time.

Suppose Iraq relents and allows this to occur (there are reports they may do just that). Since the inspectors would not have military support (estimates say it would require about a division-sized force to provide such assistance - a virtual invasion in any event), no matter what was said, they would not have unfettered access. The first time the group approached anything sensitive, you can bet the Iraqi Army will provide a welcoming party that will point the way to the exit.

Nevertheless, the appeasers and doves will now turn their rhetoric and say the "inspections have not turned up any evidence of WMDs." Of course, because the peaceniks operate on a logical falicy - that you can find something that someone really doesn't want you to find. That will not stop them from saying we need more evidence - evidence which will not be possible to obtain precisely because of Saddam's intransigence.

It is posited we are a Nation of laws and we have an obligation to uphold so-called international law. All right, I presume that for sake of argument. If that is true, then it is worth noting that felons are not permitted to own firearms - because they have demonstrated their disregard for societal rules demonstrably in a process provided in law. Saddam, in the international arena, is akin to a convicted felon, having despoiled a neighboring country at the point of a gun; therefore, he is not permitted to have weapons that allow him to make nasty with other countries in the region. It is clear he is trying to do just that, so he should be removed.

[I hope the Administration lurks - I think I have just provided the answer to the "international law" question.]

Methinks you are interseted in the weather,

Considering what there is in the way of interesting sights along Highways 95 and 40, that really was the "high" point of the day. Day 3 gets much more interesting.

Good morning!

Here at ATRW, we address more news before 9 AM than most folks do all day.
Chair, I like this lead in you've been using and it is so true! That is some travel diary you must have kept, to remember so many interesting details. I'm enjoying your travelog and am looking forward to getting to your destinations with you and reading about your impressions of them. Hey, Chair (whining little kid)... "are we there yet?" Ü

Prayers for safety while away for Guennie, Raven, and John. John, so sorry to have missed you last night and I hope you have another chance to check in soon.

gulfcoast6, I hope all the love and prayers of your family and friends at home and here at ATRW helped you through a difficult day yesterday. Keep on spoiling that sweet gd of yours!

DallasGal, how's your dad doing today? Did he get to go home from the hospital?

radix, I think this is your first morning post? Good to see you! You too, OldFriend.

bevlar, any word on your granddaughter's car?

DJ, I'm really hoping that everything's all right and that you check in with us soon. You know how we worry!

lysie, congrats on sticking to your diet. Those pounds must be melting off.

Bush exhibiting leadership while the 'world' plays 'wait and see' games

The opening line of this article is right on the money!!!

The world is keeping check on Saddam Hussein as if it were making sure that Jack the Ripper paid his parking tickets on time.

Chair, All, with respect to pop up ads mentioned in the Daily Update - I HATE THEM! Why advertisers would think being annoying is going to spur people to buy their product is beyond me. The absolute worst are those that have no window so that you can't get away from them without restarting the computer. I've tried Web Washer and didn't notice much of an improvement. There's a thread running on this, maybe some of their suggestions will help.

Pop-ups strike out with Internet advertisers

Short update on Eric for my FRiends at ATRW.......

He was in class last week at AIT in Ft. Lee, VA, and an officer came into the classroom and asked who had their Class B uniforms in shape, and who would like to volunteer for something......but didn't say what.

In spite of the general Army rule to never volunteer for anything, Eric raised his hand.

Later in the week he was told that he would be going to the NASCAR race in Richmond on Saturday to participate in a special 9/11 ceremony. He loves racing, so he was thrilled!!

When they got there yesterday, they were sitting in an amphitheatre waiting, and 14 of them (Eric included) were selected to be flag holders during the national anthem!

They had a giant flag that they unfurled while the anthem was being sung, and he stood between 2 NYC policemen, who were heroes of 9/11 (there were firefighters there too)! At the end four F-16 jets flew overhead! (It was on TNT last night, and we taped it, and we can actually see that it's Eric!)

He told me today on the phone, that last September 11, he never dreamed that in less than a year, he would be representing the Armed Forces of his country in a special ceremony honoring the brave men and women who sacrificed so much on September 11. He said he had tears in his eyes, and goosebumps all over because it was such a thrill!!

He also told me that he would go to Iraq in a heartbeat if he is called, because it is so clear to him that he is exactly where God wants him to be.

I am so proud of this kid!!

Oh......and one more thing.....he said that when they marched in formation singing their cadences, the crowd went wild with cheers and chants of USA!! I LOVE IT!!!

That is some travel diary you must have kept,

Nope. It's solely out of my two remaining brain cells and what they soaked up along the way.
