We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
On Thursday, al-Jazeera will broadcast an interview with two of The Evil One's top aides - men with a $25 million price tag on their heads from Washington. Among other things, the BBC report on the matter says, the broadcast will state Congress, not the White House, was the target of the fourth plane - the one downed in Pennsylvania by the heroic passenger revolt led by Todd Beamer.
President Bush will address the United Nations on Thursday regarding Iraq. PM Blair of Great Britain has said Iraq has one last chance to readmit weapons inspectors. The PM went on to say the UK will fight alongside the United States in an assualt on Iraq, even if no other Nation supports the venture.
Canada has announced they will not support a United States pre-emptive strike on Iraq as a coup de main.
Around the clock combat air patrols have resumed over New York City and Washington, DC. Meanwhile, US intelligence organizations have picked up increased "chatter" among known Al Qa'eda operatives.
Elsewhere, the mid-Atlantic states of North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland should begin preparations for a visit by Tropical Storm Gustav.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Brought tears to my eyes to hear of the USA chants and that Eric "knows" that he is where God wants him to be. Eric, and all of those to whom he witnesses, are in my prayers daily.
I've been waiting for you to get here to show off another of my pretties .....
God bless you!
BTW, great truck!
Actually, we didn't know it at the time either. He had called us to say he was going to be there, and be part of the ceremony, but we didn't know where he was (all those light green shirts look alike, you know!) But we had taped it, and when he called to say he had been holding the flag, we just about died!
Needless to say, we watched the tape again, paused it, rewound it, and watched it again. We might never have picked him out (he was fourth from the right at the top of the flag, backing up as it unfurled), but when we knew where to look, you could see that it was Eric! He couldn't believe that he got to stand between two heroes from 9/11. What a honor!!
Well, I'm off to class now.....duty calls! :o)
Wow..
Aren't you 'spossed to WOO-HOO someone else? ;-)
Me Too.....
BTW, thanks.
Well, it will be a fight to the death then.........LOL.
I understand. I had a lot of difficulty putting it all together, and am now having some trouble keeping it together.
I betcha the questions went like this.
Should the USA remove Saddam? Should the USA go to war to remove him? Should the USA get support of its allies before attacking Iraq? This would be like asking you the following question. If your house caught on fire, should you call for help before fighting it yourself? When you say yes they report that you believe that if you house caught on fire and help would not come, you would not try to put the fire out by yourself.
That is the same leap of faith they are making when they print that US Citizens would only approve of attacking Saddam if we get allied help? Many who oppose an attack think they can mold public opinion by saying everyone is against what Bush wants to do. That only works on inconsequential things. The media fails to understand that there are limits to molding public opinion.
If someone proposes painting the School house blue and white you might be against it. But if most people were for painting it those colors you might go along.
If someone proposes stocking the elementary School Play ground with hungry alligators, and polls showed most people were for it, you would be motivated to stop the alligator stocking by any means you could acquire. Especially if your kids are going to spend recess on that playground. But that does not mean you would not act if you coudln't get help.
There are limits to media spin. The Democrats and media do not understand what they are doing. They are just motivating the people who oppose them.
Saw on another thread that Laura Bush will be on Brit Hume's show this evening on FOX.
I know exactly what I'd do.... I'd ignore him , wouldn't give him the time of day, look the other way, yep, he'd be non-existent!
First, I found a leak in the basement, which is probably the humidifier for our furnace. I can't find the shut-off, and Mr. Marple is working late tonight.
Then, my oven has quit working. It is a built-in, and was here when we bought the house, so I am afraid we will be buying a new oven. Ugh.
Then, I decided to paint the trim in the kitchen, which has some nicks in it. The paint was hardened and unusable. I will have to go buy more.
THEN, I broke a tooth, and it is visible if I smile.
I think I will not attempt any more projects today. Maybe I should just take a nap.
We just bought 5 cans of paint to begin our painting project for the holidays. It sits in the foyer (I'm making it sound too grand - actually it's a 3x5 space that's right inside the front door) waiting for our ambition to catch up with itself!
S-i-l's oven (came with the house) just crashed and burned too. It was not fixable - good luck with yours.
I am going to the sites Doggie mentioned. I will probably be in tears also....
Panda pictures came back yesterday. Maybe I will save them for a pick-me-up towards the end of the week...
