Domesticated varieties of that are prized in the perenniail garden. I have Campenula growing in one of my beds. It stays there because it is difficult to transplant, even though I would like to move it.

Yes, I have seen them as perennials. Such a pretty delicate flower.

I must admit I'm not 100% sure that that is the flower. However, it is close.

Why are people insulting MadIvan? He just replied to a thread I put up. He is a great guy from what I have ever seen.

Then again, I didn't really expect to post a thread on a conservative website and find one of the first replies to be an attack on conservatives.

Yes, it has been a long time! It's so nice to hear from you this morning, oldngray and it sounds like you're enjoying what you're doing and doing it well. I've been wondering how things were going with you and Darryl. It's good to know that you're still lurking now and then. God bless you.

Thank you for your concern for Daryl and his family. He has finished his therapy and though his ambulatory skills and abilities are greatly improved (his blindness in the left eye being the exception), his cognitive skills leave much to be desired.

This very day he is scheduled to begin a rehab in his old office. Though not by nature a pessimist I fear for what may follow. The original idea was to place him there with a therapist for a period of 30 days. The necessity of a therapist being present is due to the fact that he is very easily distracted, has a short attention span and when frustrated he vents his anger. When he begins to vent it is difficult to interrupt or stop him.

Without a therapist present to assist and coach him, and the unavailability of a co-worker to lead him along, I fear this whole experiment may go down without a fair chance to succeed.

I am sympathetic to the idea of attempting the rehab but not in this manner. All I can do is pray that God will overrule in every way, that Daryl will be well received and that his frustration will be curbed. It is not pleasant to be around when his anger is displayed.

Thank you again for asking.

I guess I identify with this case, because my husband is an engineer (as is yours) and they have a certain mindset....
...but like all men, I believe, their confidence comes from their work experience & what they contribute.

I spent yesterday watching the parents either laugh crazily (the dad) or the mom cry ....especially when they produced a video for this event......
...the sheeple are moved by this kind of ....emotion.

Now I'm watching true friends of the defendant (fellow co-workers) describe him the best way they can...

..through his work....and his designs that have helped mankind.
The sheeple will be bored.

I think after today I will never watch CourtTV again......and if you ever happen upon Nancy Grace, grab a piece of garlic.
...She's evil.

Miss Marple, thanks for starting the threads and thanks to Bit for the Updates this week.

oldngray, I appreciate hearing the latest about Daryl and am agreeing with you in your prayers for him as he embarks on this new stage in his therapy today.

DallasGal, your dad is amazing! I'm so glad he came through the surgery so well. He sounds like someone the doctors and nurses will be marvelling over for a long time to come.

Mozart Lover, prayers and hugs for you. May things look brighter soon.

Mr. Mulliner, I hope you get a chance to check in later and let us know how your day went. Our prayers are with you today.

Guennie, thanks for being a blessing with the reminder to Mr. M that we are not to be anxious about anything (Phil 4:6-7). I also took your words to heart because I have that tendency to worry about things. You inspired me to look up some other passages dealing with worry and God's peace, which were also of great comfort, especially 1 Peter 5:6-7.

kayak, you're a blessing too with your beautiful graphics each morning. I hope that rash is finally starting to respond to your new medicine by now, or that you can find the stuff illstillbe mentioned and it does the trick for you.

Yes, he is amazing...however, we are a bit more worried today. They've reduced the pace on the temp pacemaker and are giving him pretty strong drugs to get his own heart to step up a notch. This is not necessarily an abnormal thing, but mom said dad looks pretty worried.

Also his sodium levels are down. We think he's been drinking too much water, probably because he's been talking too much to us when we are there so it's been drying out his throat.

On the excitement side of things....apparently last night (late), the pacemaker stopped and all the alarms were going off. Dad said he was sound asleep and then woke up to see his bed surrounded by the nurses. They all rushed into his room to see what alarm was ringing. The battery on the pacemaker died.

I'm going to try to leave here early today...I have things I need to do for Sunday School and I want to get over to the hospital to make sure all is well.
