Miss Marple, thanks for starting the threads and thanks to Bit for the Updates this week.

oldngray, I appreciate hearing the latest about Daryl and am agreeing with you in your prayers for him as he embarks on this new stage in his therapy today.

DallasGal, your dad is amazing! I'm so glad he came through the surgery so well. He sounds like someone the doctors and nurses will be marvelling over for a long time to come.

Mozart Lover, prayers and hugs for you. May things look brighter soon.

Mr. Mulliner, I hope you get a chance to check in later and let us know how your day went. Our prayers are with you today.

Guennie, thanks for being a blessing with the reminder to Mr. M that we are not to be anxious about anything (Phil 4:6-7). I also took your words to heart because I have that tendency to worry about things. You inspired me to look up some other passages dealing with worry and God's peace, which were also of great comfort, especially 1 Peter 5:6-7.

kayak, you're a blessing too with your beautiful graphics each morning. I hope that rash is finally starting to respond to your new medicine by now, or that you can find the stuff illstillbe mentioned and it does the trick for you.

Yes, he is amazing...however, we are a bit more worried today. They've reduced the pace on the temp pacemaker and are giving him pretty strong drugs to get his own heart to step up a notch. This is not necessarily an abnormal thing, but mom said dad looks pretty worried.

Also his sodium levels are down. We think he's been drinking too much water, probably because he's been talking too much to us when we are there so it's been drying out his throat.

On the excitement side of things....apparently last night (late), the pacemaker stopped and all the alarms were going off. Dad said he was sound asleep and then woke up to see his bed surrounded by the nurses. They all rushed into his room to see what alarm was ringing. The battery on the pacemaker died.

I'm going to try to leave here early today...I have things I need to do for Sunday School and I want to get over to the hospital to make sure all is well.
