Thank you both!
As you see ... I am quite masterfully living up to my techno-antiquity rep.

On my mouse you can turn it upside down and remove the panel holding the ball in place. You then can clean the entire ball and the interior of the mouse.

Another thing that works on my computer is unplugging the mouse at the connection to the computer and then plugging it back in.

Or you can simply whap it. LOL!

Holding don't worry so much about an attack.....we have good people handling our security now. Did you see we rolled up that terror cell in Detroit...they have been in jail since last year...

Get some rest and play with that puppy of yours.......and please don't worry......because you make all of us worrying about YOU!

Know what?!
It is the pad, I think!

I just turned it over and tried the mouse ... hard to move on that rougher side ... but it obeyed me perfectly!

Off to get a new pad ... thank you, OneidaM!!!

My son told me that it's not usually the ball itself that needs cleaning but some little whirly-gigs you see once you take the ball out. I'm trying to figure out how to explain them to you ...... I don't have that kind of mouse any more so it's hard to remember. They are kind of like little cylinders on axles ..... does that make any sense? You can simply use your fingernail to gently loosen any debris ..... then gently tap the mouse on the desk top to remove the particles.

It used to work wonders for mine.

Btw, we have a mediation agreement ...... signed yesterday and thus official. I'm not too happy about it but daughter-child is ecstatic. This will avoid a trial ..... and at least save us a huge pile of money ..... though at what cost, I'm not sure. The Jerk officially agreed to quit fighting the divorce so it will be entered ASAP .... could take as long as a month to finalize the details but it's a done deal now.

And my grandkids are now officially ping-pong balls ...... *sigh*

The prevailing theories by the psychobabblists are that it's essential that children spend time with both parents ...... thus the children will bounce back and forth between their mother's and their father's a couple of times a week, never having any sense of security and belonging ....... it breaks my heart. But daughter was essentially blackmailed into agreeing to this. It was that or have all her medical records and her history paraded in court ...... and they are not pretty at all.

Everything will be re-negotiated next year when grandson starts to school.

Utah Girl posted a link last year for storing food. In the case of quarantine, one would not need some of the items. For example, I imagine that water and electricity would be provided through National Guard or some such.

At any rate, when she gets here she hopefully can provide the link.

Myself, I stocking as we do for the winter, only earlier and at 10 times the numbers. (10 cans of tuna instead of 1, 40 cans of soup, etc.)

Also making sure coffee, dog food, and treats are available. I recommend buying a bit more each time you visit the store, and buy things you will eat, anyway. All this means is that you are moving your grocery expenditures forward.

Noooooo, but they are a good source of protein! Sure wish I had enough tomatoes to put-up! Next year!! illstillbe, i'm passing around your funny little suggestion about bones in the plantings....LOL!! Read your posting about the dogs sleeping around your bed. What a visual turn my imagination took when I thought of them BOTH in your bed!

Thank-you Janey. I am slowly trying to stock items in asmaller sizes since I buy in bulk, divide and freeze large quantities of meats, etc. It's a different mind-set when thinking about items that do not need refrigeration. I will look for the link from Utah Girl when she gets back from vacation or from you.

Hey Jim, are you going to try to get to the CPAC conference in Feb.?

At least a half dozen of the regular chatters at this thread attended last year.

Please see what you can do. Check at cpac.org for more details.

Cute, dog. NOW I get it. Just took it for granted that mware was like Mr. HOB and didn't like them. He eats them when served them in other people's houses...but grudgingly.LOL!!

mware, they need to be cooked in something else...
