4 People Hit By Lightning At Funeral THAT is scary...
To: Servant of the Nine
A great number of them do want to allow the fires to just burn, unless of course, their home with the redwood deck is being threatened. It doesn't bother them at all that these catastrophic intense fires are burning up the habitat and the very "endangered" animals they claim to be wanting to protect by opposing forest management projects. Allow me to repeat myself: I despise them.

The police are finally searching the property of the perv whose son said he confessed to murder for evidence in the case of the missing Oregon City girls... they should have made a move on that creepy neighbor long ago.

They don't want fire fighting either -- remember the year they let Yellowstone burn because the fires were caused by natural lightning? The real answer is that except for military bases, national parks, and the occasional buildding, the government shouldn't own land. One of the few times a government agency was efficient was the temporary one they set up to dispose of all the property of the failed Savingsand Loans. They should do the same with everything the government has, all the grazing land, forests, swamps or whatever. Sellit all

You are of course, correct, but I don't see the gov divesting itself of the hundreds of millions of acres of land it "owns". In fact, the feds are acquiring ever more land. They are buying up land to make into national monuments, or to "protect" from development (national forests in California are doing this - buying ranches and making them into "exhibits"). There isn't enough money to properly manage what they have now, so what do they do? They go out and acquire some more. Gawd, it makes my head hurt.
And of course, at the core, the constitution is clear about what the fed. government may own property for.

I guess I stalled out after "penis puppetry". Then I started reading about these guys being Australian. I just completely missed that they were already doing California...probably in more ways than one.

Here's one of those very weird CGEB type posts. I'm surprised the guy hasn't been banned yet. Apparently this is not the first post of this nature he has done. Some of the replies are pretty funny though.

Hi, kids, Oh no, Mo has relatives to deal with! Hope she does not come back with a bad headache...
.38..It is chilly here too..yesterday it maybe got to 65..in August..we really have had a cool summer but better than frying like the east and parts of the south specially since we don't have airconditioning..the leaves on our trees here especially the maples are already red..course they started to change in July. don't know if that is because we did not get enough rain or what...I hate the idea of going off daylight savings time in OCt...I hate early dark days :( So if I lived in Iceland, I'd have to move south somewhere during the winter cuz it gets dark there in the winter by about 2:00 pm..burrrrr....
