No, Lynn, it was not your fault..If anything, you showed her a lot of kindness as we have with Scraggles, Buffie, Killer, Quigley, and now Spike. These cats just take time to warm up to a caregiver but they always keep some reserve and we can only go so far with them..we can't trust their reactions 100%..there is an element of danger with them.
But when others clapped their hands loudly at them or shot a hose full of water their way or tossed a rock at them, we gave them a safe harbor in our yards, some food, a bed on a rainy night on the front stoop, and when they would let us finally hold them, a kind hand on the little head and a hug..that is all they wanted..a little understanding and kindness in an otherwise cruel world out there. So no you did no harm...that is always my first motto when I decide to do something..will I do harm? If I can say no..then I give them a helping hand. And as i type, there are 2 gray tabbies that come in the yard and believe it or not, when Spike wants to knock the snot out of Quigley, I just tell him "NO" and talk softly to him, distract him and he leaves Quigles alone..they know...

Speaking of Ozzy Osbourne..did you hear in a trailer that he was described as the americas's favorite tv dad? What a hoot.I can never understand one word he says..he needs to get the marbles out of his mouth.

"that is always my first motto when I decide to do something..will I do harm?" Too bad liberals don't do that.

Just goes to show you what a nation of idiots we have become.

Good point, SL, all politicians should ask the question Will this do harm? ( In the medical world it is " First do No harm".)

Good evening, everyone. I'm just so far behind on what everyone has been doing, I'll never get caught up. I've been offline for long enough to be "out of the loop". And even after I got my computer reconnected, I've had so much to do, that spending any amount of time online has not been a priority. How a about a synopsis of how things have been going for the last couple of weeks? Am I asking too much? :)

I got a reply saying that there had been a lot of complaints about the same thing lately and that somehow some of these links are dropping the www from the url and she/he was interested in how we were getting there when the problem occurs. When I copy & paste the URL address .. sometimes the www. is there and sometimes I have to type it in myself otherwise no one can link to it
I didn't realize it untill Ratty pointed it out to me the other week

And I thought he would go away after his pet project was passed!
THE AMERICAN GROWLER
If you've been missing Sen. John McCain in your morning paper, expect to see him exploding on newsprint next week. That's because the Federal Election Commission will be taking up hearings leading up to its laying down rules on issue-oriented advertising in elections. The hearings are all part of the FEC's following through on the passage of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation. The commission is mulling over rules that will affect everything from what role union members can play in assisting the Democratic Party to the mechanism by which a special-interest group, say, the National Rifle Association, can buy radio or TV time to press an issue important to them around election time.

Supposedly Ozzie claims he was somehow tricked or tripped up in the interview that will air tonight on the Pulse. But they are airing it anyway.

I'm not having too much trouble with the site but I have been having so much trouble with IE that I had to uninstall and reinstall it. I hope it helps. My screens were freezing up on me every little bit and I would have to kill explorer and start over every time.
