Good morning everyone!
An article posted overnight reminds me that the 2002 elections are not far away.
Here in ATRW land we're paying attention to the N.J. Senate race, and the Maryland Gov. race.
Next Tuesday, there are more primaries, and we can expect more and more polls.
Yippee!! NOT!
And the 2002 Summer Vacation Season winds down.
Chairman, have a perfectly wonderful vacation, and return to us rested and recharged!

I'm thinking we should be hearing from Jemian soon?
And ItsBacon sent me a note: he's well, busy as always, and a h.s. senior now!

You, too, kassie! How you've been? Has school started there?
How are your parents?
To: Molly Pitcher
We just started studies last week. My son was actually ready. He is an 8th grader this yr, with 9th grade math.
My folks are doing pretty good. My mom tried to pick a tomato the other day, there wasn't enough room for both feet, so she tried to stand on one foot and lean over, but gravity got the better of her and down she went. But unlike last time, (when she dislocated her shoulder) she had a soft landing. She said she was laughing so hard, she had a hard time getting up. She was afraid the neighbors might have seen her and thought she was drunk!

She was lucky! That's good.
My in-laws have put their house up for sale, and bought a condo in the same neighborhood: all on one floor, no yard, a little smaller.
Seems like a smart thing to do, since they didn't want to move closer to one of their 3 children...
To: Dog
You're still dealing with that??
I still cringe when I think of the state License bureau and the hassles it took to get the boys their learning permits & licenses!
Torture is a word which comes to mind!
To: Dog
Try to be patient. In Indiana now for any dealings with the motor vehicle dept. you must produce FOUR pieces of ID, including a photo ID. It is supposedly a security thing but somehow I think it a bit excessive. Most older folks are having trouble with this...no photo ID and few credit cards. One requirement is that you bring in a paycheck stub or a bill with your name and address on it. (!)
Of course, you can register plates by mail still, so I am a bit confused about this. I think mostly it is for driver's licenses.

My what a quick start this morning.
Good morning to all.

Lorena - You are doing one marvelous job early in the a.m. with breakfast! Thank you so much.
Have you seen any ads for the soon-to-be-out movie, Possession with among others, Jeremy Northam, Jennifer Ehle, and Gweneth Paltrow?
If it comes to Akron, I'll be running to see it!
Back in awhile...

I am anxious for the day they will give up their yard work and flower beds, but I am afraid it's a ways off.

Extra, but reasonable id's, I can understand, especially now..
My bad memories concern long lines, strange office hours, calling to get info, and getting the wrong info, or not asking PRECISELY the PERFECT question, and so not getting the right info!
Good morning CONSERVE and Jane!

A.M. TO ALL YOU FREEPERS OUT IN GOOD OLD FREEPER LAND, USA FROM THE MS GULF COAST, USA!!!
Quite a story yesterday, catching the ole gal with the kidnapped child and, how bout the 13 year old boy, trying to stop the car, a true hero. My hats off to all who worked like clockwork to get the baby back to her mom. My hats also off to the Sgt. on the Aberlene Police dept, their spokesman, a perfect example of professionalism. I do think the ole gal who took the child is one sick cookie.
OUR President W ain't letting any moss grow on his back is he. He is going here, going there, fund raisers, and did you see him yesterday at the state fair? Did you see his crowd compared to those at little dickie g. gathering? Why I would feel like a lost goose in the hen patch if I were little dickie g. I sure pray that we can just pounce the demowits at election time, can you just think of all the good that can be done with OUR President and repub congress?
Today I am going to put on a big pot of white beans and rice, in my forever faithful crockpot that is, and treat d and gd to a good supper (thats what you yankees call dinner, which is by rights served in the middle of day). Got to get some green onions, make some cornbread, get a little buttermilk, now THATS a meal and and half.
Not much going on today, supponse to have rained yesterday, didn't, prehaps today so, its off to d for cup # 3. Prayers for all in need for you special reasons, I pray that all are kept from illness and safe from accidents and, for OUR President W, he needs them to keep him safe from satans warriors, the demoflops and for the elderly, a very special bunch of people. Have a good day.
