AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 570) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | August 13, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 08/13/2002 4:06:06 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The Justice Department has annouced that, beginning September 11, 2002, thousands of foreign visitors, mostly from Mideast and Arab countries, will be fingerprinted and photographed at the border.

Back in June, it is now being revealed, Martha Stewart approached a House panel through an aide. She asked the Panel to issue a statement clearing her. The spokesman for the House Energy and Commerce Committee said they were "stunned."

There is a report circulating on Drudge that says the United States will, if necessary, seize Arab airports by force to allow an offensive against Iraq. Diplomatic sources, according to the Drudge report, say that Arab countries should take America's war preparations very seriously.

A high-ranking Administration official has confirmed the United States received reports yesterday from an unnamed foreign government that Al Qa'eda was planning to hit major United States targets. Some locations suggested were the Golden Gate Bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge, and a "major landmark" in Chicago. The official was careful to point out these were not confirmed "targets" but rather possibilities.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

LOL! Sounds good to me!

They'll probably have a terrific turn-out for the night.

lysander - Never heard of Monk....

Jane - Thanks, I think, for the detailed SpongeBob report. WHAT have I been missing! LOL!

My TV confession of the day is this: have been enjoying watching Bruce Willis in Moonlighting all summer. Tape it in the afternoon and watch it at night. Oh that smirk!

Really, he's very funny and cute, and very appealing and darling and the camera just loves him, and I think I'd better stop or you'll think I've gone over the edge....

MozartLover - Here's hoping for a better day for you and yours....

Son did a good job of realizing he needed to get to the doctor.

And daughter, her concerns are understandable, but she'll probably soon realize she still has certain down days, like we all do, and that's the new pattern, and no big deal. Don't you think?

Got a little weepy after leaving my friend in the nursing home, but okay now. She may be home by the end of the week, and she lives only a few blocks away, so maybe that is where I'll next see her.

When I liven in CT - my neighbor's cousin was Av Westin of ABC news. They (neighbors and AV) used to gather and discuss how great Stalin was.

It still gets me going just thinking about it.

OMG! It's good you left that place!

One good turn deserves another...

I apologize if this is a repeat...

A man who had been out fishing on a lake most of the morning came up empty, and so he went back in. His wife decided to take the boat out, enjoy the sun, and read a bit.

While she was reading, a Game Warden pulled along side of the boat, and asked for her fishing license. She said, "I am not fishing, these are my husband's things." The warden said, "I am going to have to write out a citation." Clearly agitated, she said, "But I am not fishing!" "True... but you have all the equipment!" She retorted, "Well.. if you write me out a citation, I will charge you with sexual assault." Incredously... he said, "Lady... I didn't touch you!"

"True..." the lady said, "but you have all the equipment!"

Morning all. I'm back in the washing/ironing routine this morning. Last week of it.

Bratling went to the Dr. yesterday, and has been given a clean bill of health to go to the water-park Wed.

Sister from New Zealand is in Ft. Worth with mom and dad. I spoke with her on the phone a little while ago. They may come out Saturday night to visit, since my stay at home will be so short.

For those that missed it last night, I will be in the field next week and probably not have internet access.

That's the update, I'm off to read the news.

Not me. I just finished lunch and have sent the grandkids to digging in a sandy area in the yard. They are now hauling trucks and cars outside for their roads. I have reclaimed the TV for an hour or so (got to see a little bit of Rummy and the President) and am enjoyiing the fact that Labor Day is approaching. Ha!

I'm here, I'm just ironing. I'll be dropping off soon. I head out to formation and class in less than an hour.

Did you get your business taken care of at the DMV?

Jersey has this new system that you can go anytime to register your car......but you must make an appt. to have it inspected.

Today I registered the Jeep....next I have to call to set up the appt.

Talk about jumping thru hoops.....sheesh!
