Back is somewhat better, but I still have a catch in it......medicine is taking the edge off the pain.
I went to church yesterday AM feeling pretty good, but restressed the back when I leaned the wrong way, and it froze on me.
I wanted to stay for the service, so I kind of white knuckled it, and popped an aspirin (that's all I had)
Took a muscle relaxer at home, and slept a bit....but went ahead to the movies cause I knew daughter was looking forward to it, and so was I.
So the four of us--(with moi toting a pillow for the theater)-- went to see SIGNS....and LOVED IT!!!!
Jen & I saw the preview for My Big Fat Greek Wedding ---Molly---and have decided it's a 'must see' for the two of us.
Then we went for pizza.....then home.
Then, back to the heating pad....sigh
If you remember, I threw my back out almost exactly the same time last year, right before I went to LA
...it was much, much worse.....
I know folks will have differing opinions about this movie....SIGNS....but so far, my whole family loved it!
....It's a clean movie, with few objectionable words.....and no sex.
But it's a stark movie......and reaches many levels....
The four of us laughed, cried, and gasped, and clutched!!
I give it 5 ***** stars :) (5 being the most!)
The only other person one will recognize (other than Mel) is Joachim Phoenix (who was the Emporer in Gladiator)
As I said before, should you need anything, or if I can be of service in any way please don't hesitate to ask. We'd love to help.
Sounds like you put in your exercise for the week!
Chairman, hope all works out for you and your family with the extra travel plans. You seem to have it all worked out just fine. :-)
Nita, you can count on me. Prayers being said...may all the wave-making end and give way to smooth sailing.....soon.
Guennie, glad you enjoyed the movie. I think this is one I must see several times...lots of things missed first time around.
Take care of your back. Better soon prayers for you.
I do pray that things go well for you.
While watching Fellowship of the Ring this weekend with my son, Gandalf said a great thing to Frodo Baggins, that bears repeating (I am paraphrasing...):
"We all wish difficult things wouldn't happen to us, but that's not under our control. What is important is how we deal with the situations that are handed to us."
I have every confidence that you will make decisions that are sound and just. You are a good and honorable person, and I know you will choose wisely.
Also know that we will always support you in no matter what you do.
God Bless!
Jay
I was just reminded the other day that Joachim's given name is actually "Leaf"......you know, to match his brother's name, "River?" Don't you love those flower child names? LoL!
Prayers for your back from me too! Back pain is no picnic!
Yep, looks good on paper.
And Sparkles...I was thinking along those lines because several of your previous post mentioned that he likes to chew on things. Sure would be great if that is the case.
Sorry it took so long to reply....Sometimes I think my memory just flew the coop!.
Must not have been so comfy sitting through a kind of intense movie with a tight back, but maybe better than one that kept you in stitches the whole time. When I've had back troubles, sometimes laughter is not welcome.
Marquette is not only a great school, but the campus is absolutely beautiful!
We got her all set up in her apartment, and she's excited to be on her own for the first time, but it's obviously a bit scary, too.
(And a home cooked meal once in a while wouldn't hurt!)
Thanks Molly! I am hinored to be included in your rembrance!
Hey you... take care of that back. (Ouch!)
Morning CS!
Hey Mozie... Loved reading about your week. Did you see the Packer game Saturday night? first team looked pretty good.
What island where you on in Door County?
You bet...
As I said, I have a wonderful older sister in Milwaukee who can respond at anytime should you need anything. (I am a few hours away, but will also be happy to help out in any circumstance!)
Ya know, I was in kind of a grumpy mood this morning until I came here. All the caring and understanding on this thread has brought a smile to my face.
You people are the greatest. Thank you!!
