I think my friend just went online to meet some guys, and maybe date them if everything added up. This is actually the third friend I've had get married since November, 2001 who met their husbands on the Internet. They've all been very careful, I guess this is just another way to meet people now.

I have some advice for your back problems. Find a really good physical therapist, one whose emphasis is sports medicine. They seem to specialize in all sorts of treatments and aren't limited in what they can do to help with back problems. Good luck.

I was first on scene. It was horrible, pure evil. The worst part is that ringleader graduated from my sons high school last year, my son had a gym class with him, said he was one "strange dude". Talk about a parents nightmare!

Unless it's changed a whole lot, Chairman, it's a dicey neighborhood.

We were there almost one year ago today.

The "dicey" neighborhood is probably confined to the portion of Mayport Rd north of the road that goes around the base to the ferry landing. There were no such places south of the intersection. That area is populated with a bunch of single family homes, light industry and light commerce. The property in question is very near a country club that fronts on the Atlantic.

There is significant development pressure from Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, and Neptune Beaches in the area. It was far more busy than the last time I was in the area - which is when I was in college in the early 80s (and, yes, the Mayport Rd. area at that time was much the way you described it as I had to make many a trip to the naval base). There is also some development pressure from the west from Jax proper. It is taking on more and more the appearance of the typical beach community.

One question for you ...... unions are very interested in the development of ANWR ..... jobs at stake. Of course, that is envirogore's worst nightmare. What effect might that have in the support he gets from unions?
