We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
US Airways Group became the first major airline to declare bankruptcy since the attacks of September 11, 2001.
Israel has announced they will not sit quietly in the event of an Iraqi attack in response to an American descent.
Authorities placed the Golden Gate Bridge on a "superheightened" state of alert yesterday as credible terrorist threats became known.
Algore may think he deserves another run for the Presidency, but he has had trouble where it counts - convincing donors he has that right. His ability to raise funds for another Presidential run has not been very good.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
A Moose once bit my sister.
You lost me...
Great.
We are in the middle of refinancing our house, so busy getting things together financially.
2 weeks before school starts, so I will start getting my classroom together this week. Unfortunately our Union and Administration are fighting over contract negotiations, and the union want us to do less. I will not have anything to do with that type of nonsense. *Grins!*
Some of my colleagues may not like it, but I don't care. They don't pay my bills, or feed my children!
I love those movies!
We are the knights who say neee....
It's only a flesh wound.
How was the drive back?!
Good day, all!
Been at a wholesaler all morning ... it's humid and hot ... and wholsalers, unlike user-friendly nurseries ... have sprinklers which shoot at you from every angle! LOL! Walking around ... you suddenly get shot with a stream of water ... bad hair days all around. *grins*
You see, the coil in my electric over formed this ... bubble which began to travel and spark and flame.
I immediately thought of you and wished I could ask for your advice. Instead, I turned off the oven ... the bubble/flame continued to thrive.
So. I poured water on it.
Still kept going.
Next ... I threw a bunch of flour on it ... hoping to smother the thing ... it finally gave up the ghost.
Species8472 told me I could have blown up my entire block. HAR!
Angels sitting on my shoulder, that day. Were you able to fix the nice lady's appliances over the weekend?!
LOL ... kayak said she was impressed with my cooking skills ... that's like saying one in impressed with Jack the Ripper's carving skills ...
I can not believe I just said that, but there you have it.
Molly ... thank you ...
Do you really think the players will strike?!
The week was a quiet one, the kids spent most of the time at the pool. Mark managed to hook up with some 18 and 19 yr olds and Michael found a couple of boys to hang around with who had all come to the conclusion that girls were "Too bossy and talk too much! And they have cooties!" One day we saw about 10 or more dolphins swimming about 50-60 yards offshore...at first, some people from up NORTH (no offense to youse guys) thought they were sharks because of their fins only to find out after grabbing their kids and running and shreiking from the Atlantic Ocean to the nearest Lifeguard stand that dolphins in general do not eat people. We had jellyfish all day Tuesday; I think I was the only one (besides the boys) that did not get stung. Then, on Wednesday, we had a big surf from the storm system named "Cristobal", which made it fun for the locals on their surfboards but not for the people who kept trying to get past the waves, only to be knocked down again and again and again. Unfortunately, the rest of the week the beach had a strong riptide/current and undertow, and after I realized that Mark and I had drifted quite a ways from the beach we were at, I got us out of the water and we never did go back in again. I think that if I had stayed in I might be in Cuba by now. No, actually, the sharks would have eaten me. ;-)
Oneida....prayers being said for you (((hugs))). Hope things work out for you. Hang in there, babe. ;-)
I heard on MSNBC this morning that BILL CLINTON helped WRITE that speech (if that's what you want to call it) given by Terry McAullife the other night/day. I read most of the transcript of his speech and I could not believe that people could be so very viscious. I always knew he was a jerk, but I guess I didn't give him enough credit...he's also a scum sucking dipwad. However, I noticed today in our local paper in "Letters to the Editor" that the American people were not happy about it. This even included DEMOCRATS who said it was a disgusting and revolting speech. Hmmmm. Somehow I think that this will come into play in November. (I can dream, right?)
Molly....check your FreepMail. :-)
Chairman.....you are now driving to Jax to look at property and then back up north again and then west?????? Good luck! You will need it! ;-)
Hey Kehoe...it's the BUCS vs. the FINS tonight. I even have a "Chuckie" doll all dressed up in Bucs stuff..:-)
The kids went back to school today....I can hardly believe it. Seems like they just got out yesterday. The top of Michael's head is now up to my chin. I am seriously thinking that I may have to have Dog UPS me a booster seat by the time he's 10. Or perhaps a stepladder.
Oh yeah, one more very important thing: My brother and his wife (who, btw, got married on September 11th, 1999) told us all on Sunday night that they are expecting their first baby in April! My brother is so excited about becoming a Daddy! Although, he's a little nervous because his sister-in-law had twins last year, and her grandfather was a twin. They will both be anxiously awaiting the first sonogram. :-)
I think that's all I have for now....
I hope not.
It's as if there is a gaggle of water-pistol-packin' renegades hiding in the plantings ... zapping you when you least expect it ...
DJ, WELCOME BACK!!! I MISSED YOU!! Congrats to your brother and his wife.
In Summer ... I so enjoy cool summer fruits ... apples, berries ... with different cheeses. In Winter ... warm dips, like crap ... spinach ... and crusty bread ...
Once in business ... you can plan ahead ... and buy in bulk when prices are low ... keeping plate cost to the .75-$2.00 you are aiming for ... for which you have aimed ... on which you are locked and cocked ...
Ok ... flowers are after yellin' at me ....
