It’s not easy to describe “The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai.” I never saw the film on its initial release but I did take note of the intense cult following it soon developed. “Banzai” disappeared from video shelves and I promised myself I would see what all the clamor was about when it was properly released in a widescreen format. Well the day has finally come (and in an impressive special edition no less) and it’s safe to say the film lives up to its reputation!

This movie introduced the repulsive jeff goldblum, but has some funny parts for the dork inclined.

The idea of a drive in at Cobalt seems funny to me...this is a mining town that has its ups and downs depending on the need for cobalt, apparently--not to mention environmental issues, etc. I can't imagine 100 residents, let alone vehicles, up there to go to a movie!!

It's cheaper than building a motel I would guess.

Meat prices are amazing. In Austin, TX today prime tenderloin is eighteen bucks a pound. Ranchers are getting killed and the mark-up middlemen are getting rich.

The consumer, as usual, is getting hosed.

Though a towering 5' 9" I was married at 22 and stayed married and had children. That's a Brit study. British men wear diapers (nappies) and pay for spankings. They are an odd crew - let them have the short women.
