It looks like we're going to have to observe the one year anniversary of the WTC and Pentagon attacks for a full month before 9/11 comes around again. It's blatant exploitation and can't be healthy for the families to continually be reminded and in public mourning.
We do not observe the anniversary of Greg's death in our family - it's morbid to do that. The healthy thing to do is look forward. I hope people let the survivors of the 9/11/01 victims have a future instead of expecting them to always be victims, too.

I have to agree with you there .. I don't have a problem with the TV stations doing something special on 9/11 but I don't think they need to devote the whole day

I didn't like Ali McGraw or her character, Jenny. But I am surprised at what a good actor Ryan O'Neal was/is.

The press is so danged lazy. I hate all the one week, one month, 6 weeks, six month, almost one year, one year anniversary observances of everything from Chandra's disapperance (now Elizabeth Smart's) to the attack on America.
Let's have the anniversary celebrations that should follow the arrest of the Clintons and their gang.

It is true that we have had anual exercises in Jordan. Our Sqaudron was deployed there in 1997 for 3 months. We had about 500 Air Force people supporting 12-18 F-15E fighter/bombers. I would not take this as a sign of imminent action... but I would bet the deployment does not end in three months either!
