I also have a flashing yellow strobe light on my truck...am I in heaven or what??Only metaphorically. Let's keep it that way...

Actually Nully, the flag is at the driver's eye level...it looks higher because of the angle.

I surely agree with you about Valerie's abilities with photos....the lady is quite talented, which seems to enhance what she apparently/obviously loves to do/be involved with.
I'm really taken by the mountains.....sort of make out Rockies look a bit weak! LOL.
I believe Peru is the country where a friend's father has flown missionary work for years. He brought Pam back some llama and alpaca stuff.

Helen's gonna run for the Senate - grapevine - but a very well-connected one. I don't care for Helen. She is another phony Moral Majority Hypocrite. Like Newt, she can have her love life any way she wants, but if she does she better not run as part of the Religious Right.

I'm really taken by the mountains.....sort of make out Rockies look a bit weak!I'm a bit nuts about the Andes, and have been very fortunate to work and live in them from Equador and Bolivia to Chile and Peru. My favorite part though is Peru.
Got to go, have to make rounds then down the hill 'till tomorrow. Everyone have a good evening.

loddy, I do intend to hang in there.....geeze, I dug out a book I bought ???? years back about Repairing and Upgrading PCS.....I was hoping to find something intelligent (to me) about serial ports and parallel ports....
Guess if I hook into one and it doesn't work, I can try it on the next and the next until it does work....it isn't like there are 20 of them to deal with!!!
My problem is by the time its all up and running fine, I will be so disinterested in the 'puter.....I haven't even thought up a name for the new one yet!!

Yes, he makes house calls.

The quality of Helen was sumthin' else.
Her DC office staff, either by nature or thru her leadership, helped everyone who called them--whether you were from Helen's district or not.
I can't begin to tell you how many times I called her office and at some point indicating I wasn't in her district--they didn't care.
That's why I always felt it important to call them just to say 'thank you for all you're doing for America'.

The reason I like Helen is her strong position and backing of Private Property Rights issues. I could care less what her religious position is...in fact I haven't a clue what her positions are on a most social issues. But where I have property and will eventually live, land issues are tremendously important.
People who do not live in rural communities have no idea how much control the federal government has over daily life in rural western US. Most people only have contact with the federal government on April 15, when money is involuntarily confiscated from them. Everything I do in the area I live in involves some branch of the feds, from fishing, hunting, driving on mountain roads, cutting firewood, camping, building a fire, making a living by grazing cattle on federally-controlled range, etc etc. So land and private property issues are important to me over many other things that bother other people.
Geez, I really gotta go now.

"They are talking about attacking Iraq" Wish they'd quit talking and just do it. I'm tired of listening to them.

Yeah, just arrived in Shreveport a little over an hour ago. I got stuck with a new roommate this week. I just hate breaking in the new ones. It is a pain.

They are trying to bore Sadam to death...
To: null and void
I think they're doing a better job boring US to death.
Oh well. I guess I should get going. Maybe I'll go take a nap or read or something like that. Maybe I'll check in tomorrow. No bets on it though.

Those clouds appear to be lenticular. They are shaped like lenses or UFO's and form in the vicinity of mountains. They indicate extremely high winds. Hit one in an airplane--even in a fast moving jet--and you will quickly learn that you made a big mistake.
To: catpuppy
The clouds must be icy. I haven't flown much and don't remember seeing any like them anywhere.
