Explosion may have been a car bomb. This may be why the perimeter of security around the White House was increased...perhaps intelligence picked up some chatter about this type of stuff.

Construction company. Officials believe it was in a car parked inside the compound. Three employees have been taken into custody for questioning. No US military personnel involved in the investigation.

I am with you, we had an exchange student (Two in fact), one from France, one from Austria, the one from france, Booooo, a no brainer but the other, still correspond, call, send gifts, she loved it here and, daughter loved it there as well, friends for life and this was 20 years ago. The first snow d ever saw for real was when she visited over there.
