Yep.

All four are named after the major archangels.

Can't keep the whole hierarchy exactly right, but the 7 (?) Archangels are in charge, then the Powers, Thrones, Dominians, and a couple of lower ranks follow. Xs might have an up-to-date reference at home.

Not sure how they'd get promoted from rank to rank ....

Seems like an angel that couldn't be promoted would be rather unpleasant as he (she?) faces an eternity in heaven ... and no way to change jobs or get a pay raise.

That's super, wing. So many people are afraid of CPS, and rightly so.

It is an unfortunate world we live in that CPS is neccessary - but as far as I'm concerned they have gotten WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too big for their britches.

3 years ago, when my daughter was 1, someone from CPS called her godfather, not knowing the relationship, just thinking he was my boss.

She expressed concern for the lack of parenting abilities of my husband and I because of where we had been with our child the previous saturday. I came to find out she also called the owner of the establishment about my bringing my child there.

The place is a restaurant, but also a popular watering hole that gets great entertainment onthe weekends. I could see the CPS person's problem if we were there with the baby at 10 at night. But we were with a large group of folks (including other children) at 4 in the afternoon.

Long story short - none of us were cowed by her, nor was my attorney, and while she still is at CPS, she's not in a position of authority.

Good for your grandson's Mom for standing up for herself and him, and God bless them and the Doc at the Shriner's.

The Peretti books are good. The Prophet was a very interesting and insightful (fictional but VERY believable) picture of politics and manipulative journalism. The Visitation was also very interesting. The Oath was my least favorite of Peretti's books, and I really cannot recommend it very highly. However, I would highly recommend the other two mentioned, as well as This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness.

they are a much heavier read than the Left Behind ones, i found. I read the first 6 or so of the series in a 2 week period when i first discovered them.

i have those same pix and it was my dad cutting my bangs and they were crookeder than heck! i swear to you, none of you would ever know i cut these myself, and i have prolonged the life of the haircut by several weeks by doing this. he will do bang trims but i hate making a trip there just for that. also the low humidity, 80s weather is great for my hair. i blowdried it today for the first time in weeks.

thank you rob't!!!!

You reminded me of a question I want to pose to XS

My dear friend - do you remember the name of the patron saint of real estate? A while back a woman I know suggested I plant a statue of St. (I don't remember who) in my front lawn to facilitate the sale of my house.

WHY? i am happy and i look decent! my hair can determine what sort of day i am having. i have to wash it daily and bc there is a ton of it, it takes forever to dry. i have been letting it airdry in the heat and humidity, but today it is fairly straight bc i could blow it dry.
