Richard Ben _________Vineste? I believe he was a rat lawyer during Watergate. He was trotted out during the monica coverup as a credible, impartial Constitutional expert!! LOL... In the words of Lody: What a PUD!

WOW .. what a change .. it's cool .. it's breezie and it is beautiful out there Same here! Its only supposed to get up to 82 today. Sure is nice to be able to open up the windows again.

Made it back....only hit maybe 3 - 4 rocks this time!! Course I had to drive that sucker into a huge puddle of water at the north end!! So--that end is 1/2 mowed and half not mowed....at least it's the neighbor's side and not in front of mine; though I will watch the next couple of days to see if the water has gone down and get it mowed.
Man, do I detest it when people throw crap out their windows--or decide to haul to the landfill and don't bother to cover what they're hauling. Makes the job even longer...this week was 'soda pop cans and bottles' along with about 1/4 mile of baling twine.
The job ain't perfect, the job description/requirements don't call for a Michelangelo!! And the pay is r - e - a - l - l - y cheap! But I like it mowed because it helps keep our places from looking like complete weed patches!

I sure feel sorry for you having to put up with those two Eminem wannabes for ten days. I hope thier attitude does not match thier appearence.

Cheri, I know you will desperately want everything all in its place 'instantly', but don't overdo yourself....a back out of whack is nothing to play with. :)
When we did the big move from So-Cal to Montana, I made sure every single box had info like "Bedroom #1 - Closet, Bedroom # 2 - Dresser, Kitchen - pantry, Kitchen - pans", etc.....or a descriptive blurb about what was in it.
When the van arrived at the ranch, it was easy to pin a 'sign' by the various rooms with the name of the room....so everyone that helped unload could put that box in that particular room.
Then, after a good night's sleep, we unloaded boxes for the Kitchen and then bathroom....and then everyone was on their own--but we had a semblance of life we could at least live with--if Deni wanted her room together quicker, she worked at it longer; if Donna wanted her space a shambles, she took her sweet time and asked a million questions, like "Where's my ____________" or "I can't find my _____________; I bet we left it in California".

Good job with the mower.
Litter - the one national problem that
could be solved overnight if people who
remove their heads from where ever they
have them stuffed. Thoughtless idiots.
Tomato cat is from an animal shelter site BestFriends. org.
He's a cutie - looks like he's waiting for a rum&coke,
and maybe a ciggie. ;-)

Tomato's coloring is so pretty. The only cat I can remember us having that had gold was one of the kittens the girls brought home one day....there was a gold tabby and a grey tiger stripped. Neither lived to adulthood....I can't remember about the gold one, but the darn grey one decided he could ride on the top of a tire that was rotating backwards, as in backing out the El Camino to go to town.
They were so cute playing together.....but I'm not interested in more cats at this time.....I still have these two 17-year olds to contend with!

I'm back from Target -- got The Lord of the Rings DVD on sale.
The two visiting kids aren't so bad as they look in the pictures. I've known Trevor since he was 3 - he can't fool me, and his friend is from the same little hick town.
To: ValerieUSA
I'm sure they are good kids, but the are going to regret looking so silly 20 years from now. I still cringe when I see pictures of myself from the early 80's with shoulder length hair.... I was trying to be cool, but looked like a complete dork (even by early 80's standards)!

*L* Everybody deserves pics like that of themselves - humility is costly virtue

I still cringe when I see pictures of myself from the early 80's with shoulder length hair. The kiddies have a good laugh when they see pictures of the hubby back in those days ... heck I do too ... FOFLOL

I have sought to destroy every picture from that time period, but they keep showing up! Maybe I should hire a rat consultant to clean up my past.

Just got an email....the new computer is in.........and for some reason, I can't get real excited! Well, I'm excited for you! If you need any help setting things up or tweaking, just give a shout. I think you will find a new system pretty much stets itself up, you should have no problems... with the exception of transfering files.
