Mo, nice breeze here today and the poplar leaves are falling down like a snowstorm. Summer is still here but autumn is on the way.

Well I gotta take the girls to get their hair cut .. and if Dana doesn't stop chewing on her hair, she'll end up with a crew cut ..
It's a new habbit of hers and it's driving me nuts ..
I'm telling ya .. she is not going to be a fun teenager

I have to register Gabe in school today - it starts August 19. My baby will be in the 7th grade.

Hair chewing .. *shudder* .. don't worry, she'll soon replace that with a worse habit. *L* toenail biting?

Good morning, Cuttn....missed ya again...Jose (oh say), but I do know bout them thar alligators, and jes how high up the anatomy they can bite!
You should be getting close to being done working out of that office and getting back to Mrs. C. Was gonna ask before and forgot, but is she going to continue with dressage? I think you told us that you'd just be a sideline participant in the future, right?

Prentice didn't windsurf himself right off the edge of the world, did he?

I think I'm gonna be jealous of your weather....soon as I get breakfast done, I'm heading out to run the lawnmower up and down the highway 'green' buffer area, aka the barrow pit!!. The first couple of swathes are in low gear--up near the highway, and then down along the fencelines, but once I get off the 'sloping' areas, I can crank it up to 3 - 5.....but its still gonna be hot any way I cut it.
I see thunderclouds building over the mountains to the west....may have a thunderboomer afternoon....but its gonna be hot and sultry....not the dry heat we are used to.

Hiya catpuppy.......didja have to bring up a changing season scenario already? While its been hot, it doesn't seem like summer has been around very long.

School seems to start earlier every year. Is this gradual shift to earlier start dates and later end dates some sort of "boil the frog" method of converting our schools into year round things without anyone noticing??
To: ValerieUSA
Poor Prentice. So old but determined to go out on a windsurfing rig. How sad. But better than a shark attack ....
To: Rowdee
I would think that summer never lingers long at your latitude, Rowdee.
To: catpuppy
He would make the news if he was attacked by a shark -- O'Reilly might even call it "ridiculous"
To: catpuppy
Oh, it doesn't......and when I see words,
like autumn, winter, snow, fall, brisk, cold, etc., it just seems to make it end quicker. :)
Off to the yardwork duties.....

Hey, Dee. We got the majority of the stuff out, but not all of it. I am back today getting the odds and ends - good thing it isn't very far to the new place. I'm happy, and pooped, and my back is killing me. There is soooo much unpacking to do now. But the new place is great. It is so quiet, and we have a lot more room, and no jackass landlords to deal with. The neighbors we've met so far are friendly. I suspect the ones across the street are flaming liberals, so this will be interesting. :)
