Re: the kidnapping in California, have any of you looked at the thread on this? It's full of skepticism and not a word of concern about the fate of these two girls. I have a 15 year old daughter who is on the high school tennis courts this very moment with a friend. There are players on one other court, but the girls are basically alone, with a cell phone, and will call me when they are finished. The courts are not in view of passing traffic. I'm not a hovering, overly protective mother, but am a careful mother, and I can't help but think "there but for the grace of God....", and worry that in today's world maybe letting two kids play tennis alone is not such a swift idea. Granted these two kidnapped girls were out way beyond what I consider a reasonable curfew for teenage girls, but have we come to the point that we blame the victims anytime parents aren't providing an armed guard?
Stay here...this thread is thoughtful yet filled with debate.
Later, folks..
