Brilliant plan, Chris. It doesn't matter if it is 97 or 107 outside if you're in with the a/c.
I had better get ready for the day so I can take Gavin to the country where he can drive.
See yall later. *fingers crossed*

Hiya loddy....you're certainly welcome.
Haven't seen Cuttnhorse--course I aint been around ( :) )--but if you get the chance to get up this way or to meet up with him somewhere, you really should do it. He and Mrs. C are so very nice. You'll swear you've known them for years and years. :)

Hey wings, just posting a few tid bits between shoveling dirt out in the humidity. The fridge is not keeping the beer cold enough, so I'm disposing of it as fast as I can.

Well, hello sir....I understand we have some mutual acquaintances. :)
Thankfully, our heat wave here has been broken....matter of fact wre are having a thunder boomer right now and it is delivering that beautiful stuff called R-A-I-N!!
Last night was the first evening it was cool enough to require sleeping attire--guesss that isn't exactly the kosher thing to discuss with a stranger...but what the hay....you're not exactly a stranger, sir.

Speaking of looking out.....early this morning I woke up with a terrible headache--one of those caused by changes in barometric pressure. Headed for the kitchen to grab a piece of bread, so I could take some Excedrin because massaging the back of the neck and head just wasn't breaking it up.
I glanced outside the southern kitchen window skyward and saw the neatest image.....tehre were lots of dark clouds roiling around and in the center of that there was a light emanating from the moon and these rays of light were breaking out as these clouds were rapidly changing shapes and darkness patterns...it reminded me of images I used to conjure up as a teenager in church as the Sunday School teachers or pastors would talk or tell stories about 'the wrath of God'!
Were you a pilot by chance so as I could ask you a couple of questions about flying and the sky?

OK....great....I had previously asked a pilot what it was like but never heard an answer back.
If you're in the cockpit and flying from say, California, back east to say, Ohio......in California it is still daylight and in Ohio it is darkness.....how does the pilot see this change from 'daylight to 'darknight'...is it akin to driving at dusk and it is so gradual you don't see a defining moment of change; or given the speed of the planes, do you just rush into 'dark'......I guess maybe the elevation of the planes is what I can't envision affecting this--it looks like there's an awful lot of windshield on those jets!
And do they get to see rainbows like we do here on earth.
And then, I guess the biggest question is when they're sitting in the hotseat and flying along at what, 25,000 feet above earth, do they ever get a sense of 'aweness' over God's creations.
Thanks...

I've peeked over their shoulders in executive jets, and the sunset just seems a little quicker, like a tropical sunset, but don't forget that the sunset is behind you when you are flying West to East into the darkness. I imagine it can look pretty weird in a high supersonic plane like an SR-71, but they won't let me ride.
Yes, you can see rainbows.
I think most pilots are just overcome with a sense of 'aweness' at their own selves. I think when they pin the wings on you, they 'supersize' your ego. LOL
Of course, some of our pilots may have a different view of that.
