"Saturday's voting didn't look or sound like a real election. People were allowed to vote more than once, and voting was not restricted to registered voters."Yep. Those were Democrats.

The smart thing for them to do would be to get all the information they can out of him then turn him loose in the general population and let them deal with him. Even criminals have their limits of tolerance.Indeed they do. Child molesters and child murderers, for instance, don't last very long if they are housed in the general population of a prison.

"I was one of those idiots who voted for the wrong thing" - Ed
Hey Idiot Ed -- how about turning in your voter registration card and letting smart people vote next time?

The bright side of this development is that we won't have to listen to lawyers whining about the innocence of the poor lad for the next two years. We also won't have to hear liberals lining up to whine about how nice he is and how awful a tragedy that his young life will be wasted. We also won't have to listen to this scumbag deride the US for its terrible principles from the witness stand as he accepts the mercy of a culture he rejected for the Islamic justice he would have instantly and already received had he been born there, come over here and been brought back having renounced the principles of Islam.
I'll accept not hearing about him as sufficient.
But hanging would have been just fine with me....

I heard today on Michael Savage's show (caveat: Savage often has his facts wrong, but will never admit it) that as part of the plea deal, Johnny Jihad will be allowed to study Arabic while in prison. Isn't that special?

Oh, and I got really really tired of hearing that Johnny Jihad was "just a boy". He's 21, right? Doesn't that make him an adult, and legally responsible for his actions? And the ever popular, "He just made a mistake". I am heartily sick of that excuse. A "mistake" is when I'm balancing my checkbook, and substract wrong, or hit the wrong key when making a phone call. Those are mistakes. It is a deliberate action when you travel to afghanistan and train in Al Quaida's terror camps. Mistake my a**.

Ah yes....one of my favorite studies....
Er...excuse me while I barf.
I wonder if it would have been possible to deny him the use of the prison library...sounds like his lawyers didn't get much from the plea...they must have been sick of this whole thing too. Considering the DOJ didn't seek the death penalty, it sounds like we got all the blood we were going to get from this stonefish.
BTW...you have freepmail.

Most liberals aren't quite that delusional.....
These parents are though. And maybe the journalists that quote them.

These two are almost caricatures of Marin county, California residents. They should have a Reality TV Show, like Ozzie Osbourn

I heard a blurb on the news today - Johnny Jihad's daddy saying that his dear son wasn't a terrorist. Gag me. Then what was he doing training in one of Bin Laden's camps, learning how to fight? He passed up the advanced training, such as use of poisons and explosives, to get into the action. But he's not a terrorist....

I think they aren't much different than Chandra Levy's parents.
To: Prentice
I suppose you are right but if I hear his mom say "He's a devout Muslim" or his "dad" say "He is not bitter about his treatment or angry at the United States" one more time I will probably choke.

I love my kids, but hope I never get that delusional over their shortcomings.
Parents like that kind of...I said kind of...make you feel sorry for the kid.
Not!
To: ValerieUSA
I think they aren't much different than Chandra Levy's parents. Almost makes you cheer for Levy's killer.
I wonder how much it would cost to get the terrorists to release Anthrax in Marin County?

Did Monica's parents ever live in Marin County?
Are we detecting a pattern here?
To: Prentice
Are we detecting a pattern here? If Chandra and Jihad Johnny liked to wear thongs, something may be afoot.
