I wish I were clever enough to figure this one out...

We got to Ft. Bragg, just after the Jeffrey Mcdonald murder case....

One of the men in my husbands unit, raped and killed his girlfriend...he will be in jail for the rest of his life...

The month before we got transfered to Ft. Lewis Washington, a creep broke into our house, and stole my purse...scarey because he broke in while me and boys were in the house, falling asleep in bed...my older boy heard some noise, got up to investigate, and saw the robber...thanksfully, he was unarmed, and just turned and ran away, toting my purse with him...

hi cookie
I think it is side effect of acceleration
obviously this summer is intense acceleration
means many are faced with challenging experiences
I don't see how an officer can be an officer without knowing how to control his emotions
but if they are shooting their wives, it seems they have not aced that
Love, Palo

Perhaps its the awful heat and humidity down there in North Carolina...the summers there can be awful....I rarely ventured out of the house down there in the summer...our house had central air conditioning, and I stayed put in that awful heat...and the humidity can be so stifling...tempers can flare in that kind of heat and humidity...not to make excuses, but if those officers and their wives were on bad terms about things to begin with, extreme heat and humidity combined, can make people act out, at least that theory is as good as any...

Unfortunately in the army, sometimes those who rise rapidly through the ranks, based on their accomplishments, ,and get praised for their efforts, often those same characteristics can get them into trouble...

The guy in my husbands unit who killed his girlfriend, was considered an exemplary soldier, simply because he was always so gung-ho, go get em, hyped up soldier...those traits earned him lots of rank...those same traits got out of hand, and he committed murder...

Its hard to say, why some folks commit murder...

hi andysmom
I think your explanation is correct
I noticed instant our great heat arrived, bill and I started snapping at each other in car

You make a good point
seems to me a commander of men must have great understanding and self control
but perhaps not all meet this standard
Love, Palo

hotter than hell here
we're goin' swimmin'

Well, time to go and start cooking BigDoms dinner, and make up his big lunch for his lunchbag...

Dizzy seems to be hiding right now...cannot find him...he gets sneaky, just disappears when he wants to be alone, and no amount of calling him will lure him out, when he is comfy and cozy in his hiding place...hes one sneaky little devil....

Its actually pretty cloudy right now, and the temps are cool, so I am comfy...the last two days, here, were too warm for me...but I suspect, these clouds wont last for long, and in an hour or so, the sun will be out shining, and it will warm up again...

OK, seee ya later...

I have done my duties...fed BigDom a big salad, a nice, big, thick juicy steak, and rice, and packed up a big lunch...he needs to eat big, to keep working those 11 hours a day...

Dizzy finally reappeared, and ate a ton of snacks...

My two men, look at me as the source of lots of food...

Ah, the sun has come out, and now its very sunny, and due to go up to 82 or so....a nice day....

How was your swim Palo? Are you still spinning and twirling in the pool? Where is Lulu? What is she up to?

Good afternoon everyone - Dom's meal has me drooling here. Sounds terrific!

You are becoming VERY good with the camera Gran. Very good indeed.

Habs, and lotsa other folks could use some good market news. But the relevation of all the criminality at Citi, and probably all the huge players, could really be a long term problem for Mr.Market. imo

A super evening to one and all. JL

Thank you, you two.. I am finding out that it is less work than I've been doing.. I'm getting the hang of it now I think..

I've found that some photos transfer better than others.. Faces and some scenery do not shrink well.. Going from thousands of pixels down to 600x? is not good.. lol It's fun tho..

Ok.. what have all of you been up to today while I was playing tourist? Other than sweating the stock market? Gasp! Well, it's a little better today, but I think we have some hard rides left yet..

hi loddy
I agree with you
I'm happy market had big rally today
I want everyone to make money
corruption is serious thing tho, cause it is tissue of lies
it means what appears on surface is opposite of what is going on

I can't predict tho, because I sat in front of TV 24/7 during those long grueling days of Starr investigation
I was clinton supporter when it started, at end I wanted him Impeached and removed from power more than anything else in the world
yet my liberal friends thought Linda Tripp was the culprit
so people believe what they want to believe

I think most companies are honest, but not all
that was quite a deal citibank offered to companies, to lend them 500 million and have it show up as profit
I can't tell what investors will do, but at least now, if they want to see the truth, it is out there (more or less)
Love, Palo
