When I had an editorial page column at the paper in Washington my husband was a deputy who would go on calls and sometimes people saw his nametag and asked if he was related to me -- once in awhile he would admit it. *L*
One day he told me all about meeting a woman who was a big fan of mine, and that she kept going on and on about how much sense I make and how smart and insightful I am. I asked where he met the woman -- he said he was driving her to the State Mental Institution after she was committed for yet another evaluation..... seems she had trouble keeping her clothes on in public and also liked to tell stories about being abducted and raped by space aliens in their spaceships. We always thought of her as President of Valerie's Fan Club after that.

I am not a man-hater, but I am annoyed with the whiney wussy men around FR who get emotional and blustery in every disagreement. There are other men on the thread who agree with me, but the men who disagree don't dare challenge them usually -- just the woman... and they start with the accusation that because I don't agree with some men I must be a man-hater. I shouldn't bother to rebut, but I can't resist kicking butt.
