After all, what was original sin? It was "man" trying to make himself equal with God by buying the original lie of Satan and yeilding to its temptation..."your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as gods..." We know how well THAT worked out!

What lie of Satan? If Adam and Eve had had time to eat the fruit of the second tree, the Tree of Life, they would have been as Gods, and so would we all.

Satan has gotten very bad press based almost exclusively on enemy propaganda. Mark Twain is about the only mainstream writer to give him a fair shake, although "Paradise Lost" is not too unfair.

Well now we have eaten of the Tree of Life. We can now begin to make any form of life we can imagine and we are as Gods, or shall be with a bit of practice.

God in His mercy did not allow them to eat of the tree of life....that would have condemned them to live forever in their fallen state without the possibility of redemption.

Satan will tell a lot of truth to float a lie undetected within it and in one respect we did, in fact, become as gods, in that we knew good and evil; however, it is fairly obvious we were not sophisticated enough to be able to handle it and still aren't. We are not good yet at weighing the consequences of our actions and apart from God's redemption, never will be.

This week the latest Hate America gang surfaced ... A couple of the principles have been publically identifed but for the most part their backers prefer anominity. Oh, well, nothing like being proud of your handiwork and standing up for your convictions. I don't buy the premise that it is up to Washington and Congress to straighten out the corporate fraud mess -- they do exactly the same kind of creative bookkeeping and deception when they talk about the Social Security Trustfund or call a slight decrease in a massive funding increase, a spending "cut."

The polio virus is not anti life. The very term is preposterous.

I don't think anyone will object if you want to say it was God rather than random fluctuations in the Vacuum State that created the elements, but when you claim he has been mucking about with the elemsnts since then, you are gonna need proof, not belief and faith if you are gonna convince me.

Conservatives 2 generations ago said the same about antibiotics. Disease and infection are after all a part of God's creation and his plan. In the 18th century they opposed vaccination against smallpox because it was an attempt to thwart God's Will. They said the same about lightning rods too.
