After all, what was original sin? It was "man" trying to make himself equal with God by buying the original lie of Satan and yeilding to its temptation..."your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as gods..." We know how well THAT worked out!

What lie of Satan? If Adam and Eve had had time to eat the fruit of the second tree, the Tree of Life, they would have been as Gods, and so would we all.

Satan has gotten very bad press based almost exclusively on enemy propaganda. Mark Twain is about the only mainstream writer to give him a fair shake, although "Paradise Lost" is not too unfair.

Well now we have eaten of the Tree of Life. We can now begin to make any form of life we can imagine and we are as Gods, or shall be with a bit of practice.

God in His mercy did not allow them to eat of the tree of life....that would have condemned them to live forever in their fallen state without the possibility of redemption.

Satan will tell a lot of truth to float a lie undetected within it and in one respect we did, in fact, become as gods, in that we knew good and evil; however, it is fairly obvious we were not sophisticated enough to be able to handle it and still aren't. We are not good yet at weighing the consequences of our actions and apart from God's redemption, never will be.
